Aaron Tveit from Broadway and Gossip Girl as Young Mark Arbour? (I keep leaning towards dorkily cute prepsters for Young Mark, like Ryan Devlin.)

Chris Pratt from Parks and Recreation as Wally Hayes, Gathan's adoptive father and the lone cousin that Robbie has contact with?

Posted Image

Chris Pratt has that look of "formerly hot dumb high school jock gone to pot after 30 but very kind-hearted" look to him.

Aaron Tveit?

Posted Image

That is more like Alister at 27.

I see Mark Arbor more Clooney like.

Posted Image

Which would make this a young Mark Arbour.

Posted Image

Maybe the face is wrong but I am sure the hair is right :P

George Clooney is too tan and masculine-looking, and doesn't look WASPY enough. Mark has always come off as being pale, with a triangular face, kind of dorky looking, but really cute and preppy. Like Aaron Tveit- dude can rock the hell out of preppy clothing.

Although I really like the Alistair suggestion. I can see that, too. You know Aaron Tveit was up for the part of Finn on Glee, but they eventually decided he was too pretty-boy for the part. I gotta agree with that- I would have a hard time buying Aaron Tveit as a mid-Western football player from an rough-and-tumble background.

I saw Blond Emma Stone in Vulture and I thought, "Marie Hobart."

My hair was never that long. Back then, I was a Republican. Posted Image

Good call.

So is Aaron Tveit closer, then, Mark?

I could see you dressed like that back in 1987, when Wall Street and Gordon Gecko were all the rage.

Aside from Robbie Amell, I could see a 20-pounds heavier version of this guy as Cole, too.

Cole does strike me as a guy who'd probably neglect to shave often and have messy hair.

Bam. Nailed it.

Thanks. His name is Jarrett Sleeper. He's on a web tv series called MyMusic. Kind of reminds me of what a scuffier, less pretty boy version Robbie Amell would look like, which seem suited for Cole.

After seeing Logan Lerman on the cover of Out magazine, I'm re-iterating him for Alisdair. He's pretty, wears the hell out of formal clothes, can pull off extremely nerdy and awkward...all that's missing is a pair of glasses.

Yeah, I had Wade picked up all the way back in 2009. Nico Tortorella, a former model best known for being in Scream 4.

Posted Image

Here's another picture of him, looking more like a grown-up.

I love those blue eyes.

Parker Young from Suburgatory as Travis, Wade's well-meaning but exceedingly dumb hot cousin? (He goes to Duke, doesn't he? Or was that Georgetown?)

He just screams, "Dumb friendly jock" looks-wise. Parker Young caught my eye on an episode of Mad Men.

Since we're going to see the Danfields for Thanksgiving, it'd be fun to speculate some more on how they look (We have Wade settled, and by default Wade's dad settled because they're supposed to look like each other, to the point that Wade used to hate looking into a mirror.)

I like Joshua Bowman for Beau:

Posted Image

Posted Image

I have Beau pictured as being swarthier than Wade(with a hint that he just might not be the Senator's son), with happy puppy dog eyes and a "I'm cool and happy with everyone" kind of smile. Joshua Bowman has that in spades.

As for Beau's girlfriend,I'm picturing her like Bianca Lawson from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Vampire Diaries:

Posted Image

Bianca Lawson's always just had a bitchy look to her, and I think it'd be hilarious(and fitting) if Beau's girlfriend was a complete and total bitch, but he was completely blind to it.

On a slightly unrelated note, several of these actresses and actors I only recognize because of this thread.

With both Lucas Till and Colton Haynes, I saw them do a role recently, and it took me quite some time to remember where the hell I had seen them before.

I'm a TV junkie, I like acting, and I like interesting faces, so I've got a rolodex of actors in my head. Although with Lucas Till the only thing I've ever seen him in was the Taylor Swift video...but him being a Disney guy worked for me as well, because I figured that JJ needs to look like someone who'd belong in a Disney film. (Like a male Tara Lipinsky- angelic looking blonde who's a total bitch.) Also, GA author Adam Phillips had a thing for him and posted about Lucas at his group. Colton Haynes came to my attention in a t.v. show called the Gates, where he played a jocky teen werewolf. (Yeah, I know.) Colton is so hot it hurts.

It's a lot of fun doing this, although frustrating that Mark's never commented on my choices for either Darius or Claire.

I mean, seriously though- how is Gail O'Grady not an absolute dead-ringer for Claire?

A lot of times I'll hit it in dead in the eye, like with Zachary Hayes looking like Liam Hemsworth or John looking like Colton Haynes, but sometimes it'll take a while...it took three years to find a Cole.

I'm not thinking all that hard on this one, but...Carter, the racist Menlo bully? Of course, this guy is 25, but I've been desensitized to 25-year old men playing 16-year old boys. (Hello, Cory Montieth and Mark Salling!)

Posted Image

He's got the asshole WASP look in spades. And the actor got his bachelor's from Princeton and a MFA from USC, so he's definitely got the right kind of pedigree.

Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises, Midnight in Paris) as Young Marie Crampton/Maman

I see present-day Lisa Whelchel (The Facts of Life) and think, "Brenda Hayes."

Man, did she age well or what? I guess being a bat-shit crazy clean-living Christian fundie can really pay off sometimes.

It was a great show, Tim. Nice and wholesome clean 80's childhood fun, except every episode came with a lesson about things such as child prostitution, child pornography, teen suicide, eating disorders, being used as a tax shelter for your daddy,.etc etc.

What do you think of my Maman and Brenda, Mark?

Susan Walters (Carol Lockwood on the Vampire Diaries among many other shows) as Elizabeth Danfield?

Posted Image

She's got a lock on WASP-y mother roles on teen shows right now. Susan Walters also looks like she could concieveably have a child who looks like Nico Tortorella, who we have as Wade Danfield.

BTW, she's married to that sexy Linden Ashby, that lucky broad. What a DILF. The cast of Teen Wolf really does give the Vampire Diaries a run for it's money in the "hunkiest men" department.

I've been watching the Office a lot lately on Netflix, and I think John Krasinski comes pretty close to how you describe yourself (good-looking but in kind of a nerdy way), especially in terms of the height/body type (6'3" and lanky) and the coloring. (Pasty with hazel eyes and reddish brown hair, right?) He also has the total whitebread look that I imagine you having. I think the face shape is right as well, but you'd have a much smaller, sharper nose and higher, more defined cheekbones. (That would be the French genes at work, right?)

Plus, in real life you KNOW that Jim Halpert would be sparking up a J every day after work. I can also see you dressing really similiar to that. You strike me as a "layer" guy when you're being casual.

I don't know who Damien Lewis is, but that photographer didn't do him any favors if you say he is cute.

Band of Brothers is one of those DVD series I got for Christmas one year and it still has the plastic wrap on it Posted Image

Damien Lewis is now the emmy-awarding winning lead actor of Homeland, which has kind of usurped Mad Men as the cool cable t.v. show that people are raving over. It stars Claire Danes (your generation's Molly Ringwald) as Carrie, a Homeland Security agent who believes that Damien Lewis's rescued POW character has been flipped to the terrorist side.

I've enjoyed the episodes I've seen...I'm glad that Claire Danes is having a comeback, and it's great to see Damien Lewis getting the recognition that he should've gotten for Band of Brothers.

This Candadian actor named Jesse Moss is kind of how I picture Noah...

Cute in this very innocent, kind of nerdy way. (The actor was also fucking hilarious as a psycho frat guy in this cult film called Dale and Tucker Vs. Evil. I highly recomend you netflix it.)
