I just remembered that when I read Be Rad and Man In Motion originally, I was totally picturing 1980's Kylie Minogue  as Claire right down to her fluffy 1980's blonde perm.

Claire would never have had big hair.  Ever.

She would have followed the trends, at least up until her early 30's. Did any women under the age of 30 actually get through 1983-1988 without having had big hair at least once? LOL

You know, I'm starting to lean towards you having had Meg Ryan's Another World look in mind for 80's Claire:

It's called the Sloane Ranger look, very popular in the early 80's before the mid-80's when the dayglow Miami Vice/Madonna look took over.

I used to think you had based Claire on Charlene Tilton from Dallas but I think early 80's Meg Ryan is more what you had in mind. LOL

All this talk about past characters made me remember Alexandra Carmichael. The official fancast is Sigourney Weaver. Of course, to align with the age, we need to go with 2010's Sigorney Weaver when she was still in her 60's. (Alex would have to be at least in her 60's, right? She should be close to the age of Isidore, JP, and Fred, who are all late 50's/early 60's.)

Such a stunning woman! She's aged incredibly well as a 70-something. I'm assuming she's gone to the school of, "don't do much, keep it subtle."

Renee Rapp would be a hilarious model for a grown up Maddy Graves. LOL

I love Gen Z. They're so kooky.

Mark liked Nicholas Galitzine for Kris K. (Just swap out the hazel eyes for blue.)

I pictured Sophie Turner as Susannah/Zanie.

I just realized that this British young adult actor Louis Patridge is really close to how I pictured Jack in my mind when I originally read Be Rad in 2009. (Just lighten the dark brown eyes to hazel brown.)

My Mouse fancast grinding on my Van (On the Mark) fancast at the former's concert.

God, Ross Lynch just IS that straightish guy you lusted over and thought maybe, just maybe something could happen. LOL They capture that feeling so well.

Other than Van, I could also see Ross Lynch as a really good Ryan.

I was watching the trailer for Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and thought that the "Erik" (Cooper Koch) would make a a pretty good Wade Danfield. He's got that uptight, prissy vibe down pat.

Also, Nicholas Alexander Chavez (the "Lyle") is so damn hot. LOL

Somebody HELP; I am reading (and LOVING) Gap Year but it is obviously a continuation! I would really like to go back to the “beginning”! Can I know the progression? Where do I start and are there follow-ups before Gap Year starts?
The cast of characters is vast and interrelationships are hard to discern!

Will is the third generation of CAP characters. He doesn't even appear as a main character until at least 10 or 11 books into the CAP series, which begins in 1962 I believe and I think we are in 2004 currently.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez (when he's being thoughtfully broody and not when he's being upbeat) would make a pretty good Tony fancast, I think. He's really hot but not in a cookie cutter pretty boy way, which is how Mark described Tony.

I can also see him doing Tony's pretentious bullshit.

Not seeing this one.  Hair is too light, features are too soft

Hmm, maybe he can be a character model for that future character you were telling us about...*Method teases, making Mark's readers perk up in anticipation but realize we ain't talking about the character until he shows up*

I kind of always saw Joaquin as Kevin Alejandro from Ugly Betty and Lucifer.
