Clydee Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Chapter 59: Threading the Needle The new chapter is available, Please note that in the new feature it may be moved to GA Stories All I can say is...whew!!! I knew that the Australians were not asleep, I just didn't know they were that wide awake! Poor Trevor...hotdogs again??? Great chapter, the one I was waiting for, thank you very much, and I am very interested in the next one too!
jkeeling Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Ah now that is a peaceful non cliffhanger ending. We can only hope that they are actual coast guard. lol I can see the goat making them pirates pretending to be coast guard. lol
hh5 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Hey its austrailian hot dogs ... it might not be pork ... so he can take it ... and then eat some real food like snakes, shark, kangaroos, or koloas stew. Oh ... they rescue him and not offer some decent clothes to wear ... how cruel can they be!! This is great news ... no more dangers of the seas ... now its time to contact relatives and to be taken cared of since he is still a minor. He needs a doctor for his PTSD and for being out at sea. Then they will fit him for a kolas strait jacket when they find out he's a bit looney for them. oops they is going to find his gun ... I hope he has his money and other important papers. He's going to austrailian jail. Now u wonder if Joel and Lisa will contact search and rescue. I hope CJ lets Trevor have a chapter or two of nice time before unleashing more drama on him. Let the rest of the characters suffer for a while

Benji Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 (edited) ..................First off HURRAH!!! Trevor finally got rescued!! Good to see Gonzales and Weston on the same page here, why do I get the feeling that George is going to get caught planting the evidence on Joel, while Bridget makes the great escape? It seems that George and Bridget already have 'escape' plans worked out, maybe a sense of foreboding looms before them in their quest to cover themselves from the crimes. Back to Trevor!! I can understand his hallucinatory dream, we night firing and once finished we hiked and never stopped, we keep going for over 25 miles at night with no sleep for 2 days, deprived of sleep at night, and going up a mountain, I was not alone in seeing hallucinations from being deprived of sleep. I saw an RV in front of me with a person beckoning with coffee and rest, some in my unit saw snakes come at them and screamed out loud. Seems the company commanders had a bet going on one, and who would be the first to take the mountain. As daybreak came, I saw buffalo in the fields at the mountains top (that was real) but I was too tired to think of what I saw. They had an entire field kitchen serving hot food for breakfast for us, to be honest I'm not sure anyone ate. They pretty much dropped when told to stop. I'm still waiting for the dam to break on him, he has been through so much, endured many hardships and no contact with another human being for two months. I cannot believe he will not break down, will it happen when he makes landfall? It has got to happen soon, and this is where the problem exist to Trevor, his natural inclination will be to call Joel or Lisa. But if luck holds out and he calls his dad first, maybe, just maybe he can get the info he needs and not spill his survival to them that would reach the ears of Bridget. Maybe just maybe, he will hold Joel and Lisa to secret on the attempt to save himself, hopefully they will not expose the information of him being alive. Many avenues here!! What if the press gets ahold on his saga? The ramifications are many for Trevor, could the surviving pirates of Ali's boat or the betrayed hospitalized one make a confession that goes international pointing back at Sanchez? Would Sanchez risk another attempt? I see the next title of the chapter as being Reunion!! (His Mom) Trevor will find it although not expecting it! Great Chapter CJ!!! I almost broke down when Trevor was rescued!!! Edited December 29, 2010 by Benji

I almost broke down when Trevor was rescued!!! I am surprise ... Trevor didn't have a dream quest ... or maybe he might get some by the time he gets his rest. Well its not a state secret that he was headed for Australia ... its a matter of Bridget and George finding out if they don't know then Joel and Lisa can be screwed and if they find out Sanchez is really going to bust a gut and call an army on Trevor Robert won't let Lisa go to Trevor in Australian unless Joel can be very persuasive and he won't know about it unless the Australian gov't finds out Trevor is in trouble and put him in safe keeping. You know the thing about his boat, then Egypt and then Seychelles plus his two or three narrow escapes. If they can't find his relatives they'll see the news. Hey Trevor's voyage is going to make front page world news and he can't stop it ... Bridget and George is going to see it on CNN and HLN nope its going to be called "Reunion Again (and won't miss navigate it this time)"
ret2ak Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 C James, Trevor rescued is the best Christmas gift I have received. Circumnavigation is your best story and frankly is the best story on the net, gay, straight or crooked. Charles Lane P.S. The password system on gay authors stinks. It used to recognize me if I copied the pswd directly from the email for a new password. Today it would not even do that. Now I went through the new password procedure for the 4th or 5th time and I am back on line. It is truely anal. Sometimes I wonder why I spent $90 to support GA. The stories are great, but the security is paranoid.
Trebs Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 On one side, I agree that this seems like major Headline News and will quickly travel the globe... Then again, the Australians may note all of the baggage that comes up with Trevor's name and squash things until the legal situation can be figured out. I see Bridget making her big mistake in this chapter - after all, every good villain needs to make at least one. By jumping the gun and closing off the guesthouse now (due to out of town relatives), she'll lose the intel when Trevor calls either Joel or Lisa and they plan their trip out to Australia. BTW - I disagree, I think that Robert will let Lisa go with Joel. Great chapter (as usual) CJ - and filled a big need for something new and good. Been cooped up in bed with a chest/head cold and reading has been the only thing that has kept me sane - been re-reading LTMP and CL :-)
DragonFire Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Whoo Hoo, he got rescued. Hallelujah, praise the lord…. bout damn time! I seriously thought he’d hit the cliffs and we’d be left hanging, but even the ole goat wouldn’t be that cruel… would he?? I think it’s inevitable that his story will become world news, I mean, it does read like some fictional story you’d read on the web after all, so the news guys will be all over it soon as they get a sniff. The news I assume will send Bridget into a spin and possibly cracks will start to appear in her normally calm veneer. Not good news for Joel & Lisa who being handy could well bear the brunt of her frustration. I do believe as some have said that a reunion episode with his mother is coming. I still don't buy that Ares was destroyed, but hey, that’s the sceptic in me. lol
Site Administrator wildone Posted December 29, 2010 Site Administrator Posted December 29, 2010 Giant crocodiles up in trees with koala's. Oh My Well I will be honest, I did tear up a bit when Trevor was rescued. I think it goes to show how much I can get invested into a story when the characters and plot are both excellent. Hopefully Bridget and George will have their Bahamian vacation cut short. Best case scenario would be the phone lines start to light up and with either Harry or Gonzales watching we have George and Bridget on the Sea Bitch Witch arriving, then soon to be followed by Sanchez. All the bad guys at once. I wonder if CJ could let us know where the time lines are? Are they roughly the same? Is Trevor getting rescued around the same time as Gonzales and Harry are working out a plan? Thank you so much CJ

Poor Trevor...hotdogs again??? Great chapter, the one I was waiting for, thank you very much, and I am very interested in the next one too! Lol, poor Trevor, getting offered hot dogs. And BTW, canned hot dogs, for those who haven't had them, are a bit more like vienna sausages; not that great, and pretty awful cold. Ah now that is a peaceful non cliffhanger ending. We can only hope that they are actual coast guard. lol I can see the goat making them pirates pretending to be coast guard. lol ROFL! Nah, Trevor has been found by the real deal. And aren't all my chapters peaceful, non-cliffhanger endings? Let the rest of the characters suffer for a while My reasoning on the clothes was that they wouldn't likely have any aboard; they were just out on a few hour's patrol. At least, that's my excuse... I'm not going to admit that I think offering a hot guy who is in just a tattered pair of shorts clothes would be downright criminal... nope, not gonna admit it. ..................First off HURRAH!!! I almost broke down when Trevor was rescued!!! Thank Benji! You hit the nail on the head; Trevor has been through hell, and it would be highly unlikely that he'd come out of it unscathed between the ears. We've often seen him having recurring nightmares of pirates. On the other hand, he's exhausted, so he'll probably want to sleep when he gets to shore. I wonder how long it will take for him to actually believe that he's safe? Great point in the sleep deprivation! I've had hallucinations like that after a couple of days awake. They start subtle, then get more pronounced. Did you get any auditory hallucinations? (A stereo playing your favorite song that turned out to be off?) Trevor's dream of arriving... how do we know that isn't the real Australia? C James, Trevor rescued is the best Christmas gift I have received. I was waylayed by a bad cold last week and I'm only starting to feel decent again... Another thing Bridget did, a while back... she told Lisa and Joel that Trevor came out to her. She felt safe doing so, due to thinking him dead. Whoo Hoo, he got rescued. Hallelujah, praise the lord…. bout damn time! I'll make my own confession; I teared up a bit too, when I was writing that part. I try to get inside my character;s heads, so I had a very good "look" at the overwhelming relief Trevor was feeling. I can say for sure, he's having trouble believing it's real. (and don't worry, this is not a dream he's having... The rescue was real) He did have the first landing as a dream though... singing kangaroos and all. BTW, the next chapter is called "Carnarvon"
hh5 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 I forgot to add that they also have to check Trevor ear and give him bionic hearing so he can hear what bridget and george are scheming as well as hear the calls from his mother.
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted December 31, 2010 Site Moderator Posted December 31, 2010 He did get his hearing back in the ear, but he still needs to get it checked.

I think he'll be needing anti-biotic - I have no idea if he'll ever hear ever again. He needs a full physical - I'll volunteer to do the hernia and prostate checks... Oh cavity check!! Contraband!! Carnarvon,_Western_Australia So whats there that can Trevor see or do or just take a long week rest * There's a lake Mcleod (not sure if its relative related to our David Mcleod) * A salt mine ... ooo would sanchez use that place * eat up bananas, tomatoes, wool, cattle, sheep and goats You think Trevor will eat CJ? or scream beehhhh * NASA satellite tracking stations ... no excuse for not calling DIRK Anyone know whats good down there? Is Governor Graeme going to give Trevor the national KEY? I think its best Trevor take a month off ... rebuild Atlantis ... find the relatives ... forget whats happening in the USA and hope Australia can keep quiet until after Christmas ... but another issue is will Bridget and George care after Christmas or not to get Trevor? Is Australian protection better than the USA? Would there be anything that would make Trevor hop on a plane to Florida? Is there any way to get his friends and Dirk and Jim to Austrailia before Thanksgiving? oh I forgot its a holiday that's not celebrated in there? But there can be a first time. mmm Wild stuff kangaroo or kolas or GOATS? that be a poor substitute .. oh Ostrage!!(sp)
Benji Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 .............. Rebuilding the Atlantis is almost impossible, even though I know in my heart that is what Trevor wants to do. Keeping his story from being international is more of a problem for him, even if he does not know it. How will Sanchez react knowing his cartel failed again? Will the police investigation give him pause to peruse for filling the contract if he thinks the feds are on to Bidget and George? It seems to me that the police department has more holes in it for leaks then the Atlantis had from the bullet shots. Sanchez may take his 'loss' for the hit he was paid for and focus back on Bridget and George, somehow his suspicions have to be aroused in the entire matter of the hit in the first place. If Bridget's story did not jive with Detective Gonzales why would it jive with Sanchez?

I hope relatives come in to protect this MINOR from being the target of news sharks. Wouldn't they keep the identity of Trevor a secret? Like who will leak the news? Do you think we'll read about the heads of the cartel yelling at Sanchez ... or see him reason to investigate Bridget and George Now who will run further in the couples run ... Bridget or Dirk? Who will discover Bridget and Georges stash? I'm not seeing how Bridget story to not jive ... she'll blame Sanchez for incompetence in not getting the job done. The PI not turn up much .. only suspicion ... only more to investigate

If Bridget's story did not jive with Detective Gonzales why would it jive with Sanchez? I think this is where things get interesting. Gonzalez wants to fly Trevor to Florida. Trevor refuses to leave Atlantis. Atlantis might never sail again. She's over 20 years old at this point and it will cost far more in time and money to restore her than she's worth in the eyes of the insurance company. I think several hundred-thousand USD would be an understatement to repair the damage to the fiberglass inside and out, replace all the stolen fittings, the panels used in the sail, and of course all of the accessories, railings, lights, sails, boom, nav suite, and so on. Even if the money could be sourced, it would take months, if not years. News sharks will be all over a young man sailing alone in a crippled catamaran in the Roaring Fourties for two months. International attention will be swift, possibly swifter than the Australian government when they learn how important he is. I get the feeling that they have an extradition agreement with the US, so they can impound Atlantis in dry-dock and put him on the next plane to West Palm, then in a black sedan to St. Lucy County. Trevor's drama is just beginning.

Is Governor Graeme going to give Trevor the national KEY? Check out Shark Bay It looks like an awesome place, all kinds of stuff (including diving). Tons of wildlife, including emus that wander right through Denham (a small seaside town, the only one in the bay). Trevor might be safe from Graeme for now... Graeme is in Victoria, on the southeast coast. .............. Rebuilding the Atlantis is almost impossible, even though I know in my heart that is what Trevor wants to do. If Bridget's story did not jive with Detective Gonzales why would it jive with Sanchez? Bridget told Gonzalez a very different story. She told Sancheze the truth, just not the entire truth. So, Sanchez knows she killed her husband, and that she fears the asset list. What she didn't tell him about was what else she thinks was on Ares. I think this is where things get interesting. Gonzalez wants to fly Trevor to Florida. Trevor refuses to leave Atlantis. Atlantis might never sail again. Trevor's drama is just beginning. It would indeed take months to repair Atlantis, assuming her hull is still basically sound. If not... she could still be repaired, but it would cost far more than she's insured for, or worth. Trevor wouldn't want to lose her, though. Okay, just so we don't end on a down note, here's a happy thought: maybe Trevor will ask someone he knows who has tons of money for help? Okay, before I forget again, there was a question about the timeline in the various plot threads; it's roughly (within 24 hours, to allow for timezones) synced.
