Jox4 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Hi I can't find a story that I have read before, possibly twice, and have bookmarked. The bookmark is https://www.gayauthors.org/story/nephylim/thefaceinthewindow Anyone have any ideas where it is? It isn't listed on Nephylim's page and searching for stories within this site still seems to me to be a very complicated process.
MJ85 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Well...now that IS odd. That throws me for a loop that it's not there, considering that I remember reading it for when it was nominated in last year's RCAs.
Site Administrator Cia Posted April 9, 2013 Site Administrator Posted April 9, 2013 Nephylim has removed that story for publication and replaced it with her tentacles story. Sorry!
Jox4 Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Such a thought did cross my mind, having found other really good stories have disappeared for similar reasons. The next thought that occurred was, when you find a really good story you know you will want to read again, download a copy and keep it! Thanks for the information.

sat8997 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Hehehehe Seriously! That's either intentionally brilliant or unintentionally brilliant. Win win either way.
Fishwings Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 hehe yes exactly. Now the topic's gotten interesting -- I personally don't see any problem with people saving a copy of the story to their computer but only if they don't distribute it to anyone else, or worse, post it and claim it as their own.
Krista Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Not everyone can sit at a computer all day and read - the print option allows people to take it with them wherever they go, where a laptop or a computer isn't the easiest way. A lot of these stories are free to read no matter what and will remain that way, so these minor issues have to be overlooked.
Zombie Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 (edited) And you needn't print to paper - you can print the whole story to a single pdf or just save the print job in whatever format you want. Edited April 17, 2013 by Zombie
