Defiance19 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Oh, I am late to this fun discussion. I should have stopped by here first and spared myself a long rant in my review. Lots of thought provoking comments. I agree with Puppilull that Colt won't ever wish he hadn't met the wolves. He may be changed for better or worse, but you can't undo that connection. @Tim: Is your Rob chapter ready? I won't send chapter 6 and 7 for editing before I got my dose of Rob (and chapter 6 has a nice Isaac-on-his-knees-scene ;-)). Ehm I haven't even started it yet. but I know you're not going to be satisfied with it anyway, as long as Rob stays straight. So why bother ? Umm, so what does that mean for Ch 6 & Ch 7?
JohnAR Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 I made a guess based on him exclaiming "Heaven". I took a chance and said Germany. You never responded to that, which made me awfully proud of myself. Now, it turns out you just missed it... I'm crushed! Crushed, I say! Not sure I see the link between "For Heaven's sake" and Germany, but I need to disappoint you: You are wrong again ... I think you used up your three attempts ;-) JAR 1

Umm, so what does that mean for Ch 6 & Ch 7? One is never late, and rarely too early. As said we shall have that conversation again during book 7 (in a year or so ;-)). I got weak and sent them to Tim for editing anyway. Can't punish my readers for the Muse forgetting to kiss him towards penning a steamy Rob prompt. Ain't I nice? JAR Edited June 7, 2015 by JohnAR 3

I think you used up your three attempts ;-) JAR But he didn't say "For heaven's sake", he said just "Heaven". I just haven't heard many people say that, so I thought of "Himmel" in German. Ok, I'll just speculate on my own... No troublesome and inconvenient truth to have to consider. The list is dwindling... Edited June 7, 2015 by Puppilull 2

JohnAR Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 you're positively huggable and those chapters are awesome (and only slightly scary). No hugs pls, I'm an introvert... ;-) 1
Timothy M. Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 No hugs pls, I'm an introvert... ;-) Hey, so am I, and I can take a hug now and then (talking to people can be difficult though). Even Colt likes to hug. 1
Puppilull Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Hey! I'm an introvert too! Hmm... I'm beginning to see a pattern. 2
JohnAR Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 Hey! I'm an introvert too! Hmm... I'm beginning to see a pattern. Well there is a causal link between reading/writing and introversion. extroverts rule the world though ... See what they do to it;-)
Puppilull Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I don't know. The extroverts I know usually need someone to ground them and actually get things done... 1
JohnAR Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 I don't know. The extroverts I know usually need someone to ground them and actually get things done... There are Swedish extroverts? ... Just kidding. JAR 1
Puppilull Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Well, there are a few. My management training was full of them. But they're not like the American kind. think I'm a social introvert. I like people, as long as they don't get too close.

JohnAR Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 80... And I had to read them all... Of course. How many apply to you? To Colt?
Puppilull Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Me? Probably more than I care to admit. Colt? A lot, but I feel like he's starting to use it to his advantage. Maybe because having a pack of his own gives him confidence? I know my "pack" of three gives me much strength. I'm just not as bothered by my awkward and weird tendencies anymore.
Puppilull Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I came across this list as well. The pictures of Mellberg and Ljungberg made me think if you, John! However, I can think of several other Swedes that are hotter. Well, maybe not than Freddie. He's kind of otherworldly... http://www.buzzfeed.com/marietelling/18-swedish-men-who-are-so-breathtaking-you-actually-wont-be 1

I have to say those are by far not the handsome-st Swedish men I've met. Combine those genes with US socialisation and you got the perfect MidWestern boy. (going back into my dark corner) JAR 1
