JamesSavik Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) Well... this is different! In Dixie, salt is for margaritas, not roads. Edited January 22, 2016 by jamessavik 3
Kitt Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Bet that crayfish (crawfish? crawdad?) wasn't thrilled with the weather! Stay warm James!
JamesSavik Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 I was just chatting with a friend from Canada asking him to please take it back.
Bill W Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I wish what we were going to get was snow. It's raining here right now and is supposed to turn to ice and become freezing rain starting at sundown. Having lived in the north most of my life, I'd rather deal with the snow rather than ice. 2

You are so right, Bill. I would rather deal with snow too. Last night, my son did a Mario Kart spin out on black ice. Thank goodness he stayed on the road and remained calm.
CarlHoliday Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Damn! So far it's only snowed for two hours this winter and we're in the mountains. All around us, snow on the mountains, but down in the valley? No! Nada! Stupid El Nino!
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted January 24, 2016 Site Moderator Posted January 24, 2016 Now it's time to really begin the shoveling out. I had drifts up to my backside yesterday afternoon.
Arpeggio Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I know I'm not the only one who slipped and cracked his butt on the ice. 1
Tomas Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 ... I had drifts up to my backside yesterday afternoon. One of the reasons that I left Minnesota about 32 years ago. I don't mind precipitation as long as it is in liquid form and doesn't change into anything frozen.
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted January 25, 2016 Site Moderator Posted January 25, 2016 I live about 40 minutes from Allentown, PA where they received 31 inches from this storm.
