So, depending on your perspective this is either ridiculously cute or ridiculously over the top because, after all, we are talking about rodents.

This was on my YouTube home page tonight.

Man builds an entire village for mouse he saw in his garden

https://youtu.be/dpnENSdpW3A

That is absolutely adorable! Not to mention brilliant....keeps the little critters out of his house.

Thanks Reader!

Hmmm... well, some of you may not know, i am a fan of classical music and some opera. I was looking for something from Jonas Kaufmann .. and ran across this.  i looked at it and thought, that's Toronto ... and it is, right downtown on the lakeshore.

This wonderful soprano, Teiya Kasahara, who is queer, made 19 of these for people during COVID:

And this duet is my favourite thing by these two and the one from Bryn Terfel and Andrea Bocelli as well.  This is the Pearl Fishers Duet, the part of the opera where these two friends share what nearly drove them apart and their pact to not let it happen again:

So I've made a rather startling discovery about myself.

In my quest to improve my general health and outcome on life I've been trying to challenge myself to try new foods and do new things. You've heard about the food...lol.

So for the new things part, I decided to try to write something for the Flash Fiction Challenge.

Does anyone realize how difficult it is for someone like me to limit themselves to 1000 words?

But I did it. With 6 words to spare. 🤭

Now I just have to gather the courage to submit it. 🤔

Hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday! (I have another toe date tonight....aaaahhhh pedicures!🙂)

Yes, writing anything short takes skills.  Many don't have them. You need to be able to build a frame the reader can see and easily fill in. Good luck in the contest. If you want me to read it.. you can send it to me.

I've written something, and think another author who shall remain wayneless may have too.

She’s wonderful, tim. I love that she’s got an audience who thought they were only getting a walk on the waterfront that day. :)

From what I can see, she must be west of Bathurst, because that’s as far as I’ve walked and I don’t recognize this area. Then again, she could be east of Bay, perhaps.

She's at Merchant's Wharf at the foot of Sherbourne St.

Makes sense. I’ve never been to that part of Sherbourne, though. Looks inviting, so maybe I’ll check it out someday.

I'm not a huge opera fan. I do appreciate the amazing voices though. Classical music I'm definitely on board with...partial to brass, especially horns📯💙.

This, however, blew me away when I first saw it:

10 years old. WOW!

I started to listen to classical music to help my depression. My doc suggested it.. the station i listened to also played some opera.. that's where i first heard the The Pearl Fishers Duet.

i find it helpful for reducing stress

What is the diff between Apple pie and pumpkin pie spices?

Not much.  Apple Pie spice has cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and cardamom

Pumpkin has cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and cloves.

Made an appointment w. a osteopathic specialist in the City to make the hubby happy.  I'm not particularly excited about being told for the 9th time I'm too broken to fix.  :(

Hopefully, the 9th time is the charm and something positive will come from this appointment.

Hang in there, Fae.
