It was pretty cool, actually. I could see the wall cloud coming. Had just enough time to cover the vegetable garden before it all hit. I guess I could have gotten hit by the tree, thankfully I didn't,  and it didn't cause any damage other than take down an obsolete phone line. Plenty of people were without power for days. I was not.

Glad you are safe, Sir, and that the tree was the only main casualty. It was an insane storm.

Yes, it's post counts. After 500 posts you get the ability to give yourself special "titles" under your name.

@MacGreg - glad it was only a tree you lost.

Wind gusts here are 43mph. When I took my temp at 4pm it was up to 99.3F; Dr called and suggested Afrin -- I reminded them that it causes my blood pressure to spike.

My other half is a devotee of Pukka brand fruit infusions. They pioneered the FairWild system whereby you don’t damage the environment in order to make a product. Maybe some of the good folks here would enjoy Pukka infusions in preference to leaf or bean juices.

Good Evening everyone i wanted to drop in and say hi. 

this was a terrible Tuesday. we had a cable cut at work and lost 2 fiber / cable  lines. it was almost 1500 customers without phone / internet service. with everyone working from home they were not happy. it did make the day go fast. so i took my dog and we went for a long walk to clear my head. 

so how was your day?

it wasn't good, but it wasn't 1500 angry customers, i hope that the ones you talked to were at least polite
i opened my email this morning to 89 emails. when i logged off on Monday at one, i had left about 20 unread.  (Monday & Friday afternoons are my furlough times.)
Daughter and i cooked dinner together to clear my head, now we are watching one of Phil's favorite movies

Going to bed. Temp is only 98.3F, but that's probably because I took a pain pill and an aspirin about an hour ago.  Temp has dropped from 88F this afternoon to 65F now -- and we still have the 40mph+ wind gusts; those will continue all night.

I have an apt. with a "walk-in" Urgent Care clinic in the morning, if my temp is still elevated. Not feeling the sinus congestion that I was this morning, so that has at least improved.

i'm not a fan, but He and the kids are and we're all together tonight & it's fun watching them enjoy it again

thanks most of the callers were good but there were a few that had problems and vented. those calls i took and once i explain that the fibers we needed to patch are the size of a hair and they need to do each 1x1 they cooled down. (FYI to the new DiC Friends i do tech support for a phone / internet company in Ohio.) today challenge will the weather strong storms all day. 
 

molly you know with being off your work does not stop and you have twice as much to do when you get back.

I was pleasantly surprised today.  After Sunday's water bucket issue and a bunch of other stuff, I decided to resign from teaching at the barn. Put word out to a few friends today I was interested in a position at another farm, and got calls from 2 places that want to sit down to talk with me, and neither is the place I am looking to move my horses to!

Things are good. Weather is dull but dry. Lawnmower just been delivered.
