You just had to go there! 🤤 I'm hitting up the Amish market later. Guess I'm gonna have to go to the grocery store too, I don't have enough wheat flour, plus a few other things. I'm so procrastinating today, but at least the floors are swept and the laundry is half done. Now to tackle the bathroom, ugh. Hope everyone has a good day! 3 1 4

They're not my favorite berry, but my husband and son love them. Will probably do a double batch, cranberry orange with pecans for me! Blueberry walnut for the guys! Now it's grilled pork loin with baked potatoes and green beans for tonight. 7
Popular Post rickproehl Posted August 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2020 (edited) Excuse me Good Sirs and DiC friends. just wanted to stop in and say Good Evening this was first day back to work. even though i work from home it was a busy day. lots of calls which is a good one. the saddest call of the day was from a little old lady that was having a bad day. she thought it was October 8th and not August. then she was upset because she called then she was talking about being lonely and just wanted to talked to someone. she was much better after the call. some times it just takes a kind word and a understanding ear. So how has your day been? Edited August 9, 2020 by rickproehl Fixed month 6 3

We have one lady that uses us as her TV guide and we have to keep up on her ball teams and what channel and at what time. so every call is different. molly the new shower head sounds like a good thing so hope you both enjoy it. 4 3

That's one of the horrible things about the various forms of dementia -- most of the time, the person affected isn't aware of their effects. 6
Popular Post Fae Briona Posted August 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 9, 2020 This is the first weekend we've been together SP has had to do long shifts. Dogs and I both missed him most of the day yesterday and he just left for work awhile ago - he'll be back by 11pm (8am now). I slept restlessly last night, but he slept fine. Have been busy this morning. Refilled my spice mixes that were getting low: taco seasoning, "Cajun" seasoning, garam masala, and poultry seasoning. Like mixing them myself and have small airtight containers meant to hold spices. 6
Popular Post kbois Posted August 9, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 9, 2020 Success! Mostly. Blueberry walnut and orange cranberry pecan. They were a little dry, but that's probably because my oven runs hot. I cut the baking time a couple of minutes, but I'll have to adjust it a little more or add a little more oil. They still taste great, husband gave 👍👍. I really like how they're not super sweet. Things I learned: I need a zester. Honey is really sticky. Cleaning up sucks. Instapot is 10 stops away so I'll be playing with that this afternoon. I'm looking forward to making a bunch of things and freezing them, but large batches will have to wait until at least October. One does not fill up their chest freezer during hurricane season unless it's with ice. I'll probably have my mom most if the day. The AC at my brother's house died last night so he's waiting to see if he can get someone out there today. I'll keep her tonight if it's not fixed, it's insanely hot today. Stupid dog keeps wanting to go out and when I let him he barks to come in two minutes later. Hope everyone has a good day! 6

I asked him about your dry muffins ... he said you need to compensate for the moisture from the carrots and fruit that is missing. The regular recipe calls for 2 cups of grated carrot, 1 cup of apple and then raisins. Sounds complicated to me, but he's the chef. I'll pop back later. 5
