The monoliths actually appeared manmade, likely a prank perpetrated and perpetuated by a group of college kids. The objects were welded together using pieces of scrap metal. 3 1

It was so pretty, and took up one whole side of the family room. She didn't do it every year... started it when us kids were grown. Morning, bro and Mum. 4 1

It's been drizzling on and off, with a few flakes thrown in. I have a sleep study tonight, so fingers crossed I'll actually sleep! Popular Post Marty Posted December 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 4, 2020 (edited) Okay... So here's my week 36 offering in my challenge to take and unload a new monochrome photograph every week for 52 weeks: Spoiler It's the concrete steps leading from my lower garden to my upper one (on the left), and also to the upper story of the old two-story stone cottage in my garden (on the right). (Just out of interest, that window in the old cottage, that I used for last week's photograph, is about 4ft 6in (1.4 metres) to the right of this one.) Popular Post clochette Posted December 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 4, 2020 Plan is/was to put a small Christmas tree at the cementery as Mom loved Christmas and my grandparents too. We used to celebrate at they house, we'd all dress nicely like we were going to a ball even though once the pictures were taken we'd trade our shiny shoes for slippers and my grandpa was very proud. Anyway, the idea was to bought a small tree to put on the grave. I've found one yesterday with ribbons and small pinecones as ornaments, really cute, and I bought a light garland to put in it. It is perfect. But today bringing it home I realized, while it might have looked small-ish at the shop, once inside it's actually not that small... I think it might be at least 50cm tall. So we won't put up the big fake one this year (but I'm definitely decorating the house and putting the lights outside. I think I'll do it bit by bit so dad won't noticed too much ) and instead keep this one - it's a real one in a pot. And I'll see to buy a really small on this time for the cementery. 7

Sherye Story Reader Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) I am so mad right now! I went to Walmart to get a few groceries, plus Christmas bags to put my sister's, brother's, my nephew's, my niece in law's and their new baby girl, Hadley's presents in. Plus dogfood, dog treats for my dog and dogfood for my stepson and his wife's friend's dog. Plus I got my stepson and his wife's kitten a toy. I got home and the toy was nowhere in site. I checked my ticket and it was not seen on there. I remember putting it on the conveyor belt. Now the kitten has no Christmas toy! Boo Hoo!
