Cookie used to hate the rain when she came here... now she never hesitates, and this morning she was staring up at it, trying to figure out where it comes from I think. Definitely cooler here. No rain today but yesterday was all drizzle. It’s not even real rain Was Cookie a indoors dog before she came to you? I know some folk don’t expose their dogs to the world and they can get a bit uncomfortable. 3 1 1

She lived in a townhouse in a city with a postage stamp backyard... but there was a small patch of greenspace beside the row of townhouses, so they would walk her out there to do her business. They had four kids under six(!) so I can't imagine they had much time to spend with her and their other two dogs(chihuahuas). 3 2

Missy lived in an apartment with a family of four+. Mum, dad, two boys under age four and her own mother. She never played with toys. If I bought one and tried to give it to her she got nervous and backed away. My guess is being the roughly the same age as the oldest boy she was taught to leave toys alone. She didn't understand chasing a ball. When they went to the park to play it was her mother that chased the ball and Missy would chase after her mum. She didn't like to cuddle. If I would lay beside her to cuddle she got nervous and moved away. Probably because little kids are not fun to cuddle with. She did enjoy being petted and brushed. It was kind of sad but she was a sweet friendly dog and I had her for over ten years. 2 2 1 2

Cookie loves to play, but she doesn't care for being brushed... she's better than she was, though, because I'm always combing her out. And she's always loved to snuggle. I've never met a more lovable dog... she's become needy since she can't interact with the rest of the family, but I don't think it will set her back. 2 4
