I have lived through three days of the most horrible kind of hell, and for the first time in about 51 years, I don't have a horse. My mare passed an hour and a half ago, and I was with her. She died in her paddock on the farm she was born on, and I am devastated. She had so much fight in her, but I am relieved she is no longer struggling... I feel sorry for myself... she was a huge part of my daily life, and I will miss her beyond measure. She was my pretty girl....

Gary, I’m so, extremely sorry to hear this news.  I don’t ever have proper words of comfort, so I’ll try to do my best… I’m thinking and worrying about you.  Feel free to unload whatever you need to with us here.  I love you buddy.

Gary, I have the deepest sympathy for you and how you feel. I know what it is like to suffer the loss of a faithful loving horse, but it is different for each of us and we each deal with the loss differently. You will never forget her because you have so many good memories of your time with her, focus on those and hopefully that will help. There is little that any of us can do or say to lessen your hurt, but we are all here for you in your time of need, feel free to lean on us whenever you need to. I'm sending the warmest virtual hugs possible and wish only the best for you my friend.

Oh Gary I'm so sorry for your loss  Our animals are part of our family, they have a big spot in our hearts so I can only imagine the hurt and sadness you're going through. All the love.
