She rolled over to one side, so her eye was above the water level. She was probably curious about the tiny creatures on their floating thing. She stayed for two, three minutes or so, then dived down under the waves.

We had to wait a bit before we were sure she was truly gone. I'll never forget that experience. The pupil of her eye was as big as the hubcaps on our rental car.
