It is made with the same seasonings as ham the only difference is the turkey meat which is considered healthier(?) than pork. The fact is the meat used is from the thighs, the fattiest part of the bird. 6 1

Turkey ham, yes. To me ham is a pork product. Sausage can be pretty much any type of meat, so turkey sausage is less egregious than calling turkey "bacon", bacon. I prefer pork sausage over turkey, though. 5
