It seems an Argentine court has ruled that two golfish are sentient beings with rights under law. Apparently they were inappropriately housed in a tank outside a restaurant where the sun would heat the tank to an unsafe level.

That's good. A few years ago France passed a law saying animals are living creatures with feeling. It's basically an anti cruelty laws but it also extend to situations like this one and also in case of divorce a judge can rule like for a child
