I was going to write a review, but after reading the others mine would be redundant. I don't think you have to be a fan of westerns to enjoy this story. Boone and Coy are interesting, well written characters. If you're not certain try reading a couple of chapters. Remember Headstall is the author, and he has written several good stories!

Chapter 20 Epilogue: The Promised Land
JeffreyL commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 20 Epilogue: The Promised Land
This story has been terrific from the beginning! Boone and Coy are great characters! I appreciate the effort you took to make their dialogue sound appropriate for the time. As someone else mentioned, I would like to visit Red Apple Farm some time too! Thanks for this most enjoyable story! -
This is a great set up and use of the prompts! For me, it needs a bit more to feel finished. Often when I read a short story, I have a feeling for what happens to the characters after the story ends. This time I don't. I think I need a couple more hints. You know I always enjoy what you write... That is a true statement and a big hint! 😷🧡😁

I really liked the characters and the set up! You did a great job with the prompt! I think Ley (pronounced "Lee?") and Steve could use some more time with us. Although the story is pretty complete as is. Besides we should have a chance to meet Charlie to see if we have a match! 😷😉Thanks Tim, this was a fun little story!

If I were to come into a sizeable inheritance (extremely unlikely😄), and decided to open a safe home for kids, I'd certainly want to hire you to be the activities coordinator! What a fun chapter! Thanks.

Well for a first time meeting since their parting ways, that went fairly smoothly for Riley and Gray. I love the hinted possibility of a rekindled romance! Thanks.

Cadet Fourth Class • III
JeffreyL commented on Carlos Hazday's story chapter in Cadet Fourth Class • III
Great chapter! I like Will more and more! I'm certain he and Ritch will be life long friends, and the beginning of the next close group of friends. I wonder what they will call themselves? -
So many good things happening in this chapter! I was saddened to read about Avery's interactions with his foster dad. Bill appears to be very caring. I hope Avery comes to realize that. He and Lee may be good for each other.

Hopefully the next chapter will unravel the mystery that is Nick. I am curious to find out if he chooses to stay. Could he be some sort of spy for someone?

You did a wonderful job describing the festival! I would love to attend! Any chance it is real or based on a real event? I also loved the dialogue and interactions between Rick, Gus, and the kids. It was great to see Rick enjoying the day so much! And bonus points for including Jared on the trip! He is the perfect mediator for Joey and Marta! Thanks.

In spite of ending on a sad note, I really enjoyed this chapter. I am excited to see the ship and island when the plans are completed! It is also great to see the kids getting older and moving to a little more independence! Brad's idea for the quads and apartments were a good idea! Thanks.

I am excited for the new lodge, and I look forward to reading all about the remodel! I am also looking forward to their next trip with the Kinleys. I was fortunate to visit SA in early 1975. I spent two weeks in Cape Town, took a week tour up the Garden Route, and spent another week plus in Johannesburg. There is a lot I haven't seen, so all the travel details have been a pleasure to read! I hope to have one more trip to South Africa before I become too old to travel. Thanks for sharing this most enjoyable story!

Chapter 33: Concluding Challenge
JeffreyL commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 33: Concluding Challenge
I really enjoyed Vincent's and Mason's story! What a great cast of characters! I am excited for book two! I'll be watching and trying to be patient! Thanks. -
Hooray for Brad's support system! He has loyal, hard working friends and family who believe in Sanctuary as much as he does! I hope Brad can beat this current problem and continue his outstanding work for kids! Thanks.

"Fly solo..." Sorry, I can't give you the laughing face 😆 for the corny pun, and a heart ❤ for the comments about Win and the cadet that didn't get killed off. -

There you go again, creating more interesting supporting characters! I enjoyed Will and his parents, especially Win's political views, but you should get an award for Aunt Melissa! She is quite a character and a definite contrast to Ritch's dad! Thanks, Carlos, for another enjoyable chapter! I really appreciate the effort you've put in to make Ritch his own person, and I am enjoying him being the main character in his own story! -
There might be a peaceful interlude, now and again, but there is never a dull moment at camp. With Avery's help, camp is beginning to work its magic on Lee. Now hurry up with the next chapter so we can find out what's up with Jeremy. 😷😉 Good chapter! Thanks.

Good chapter! You did a great job descriptions and dialogue of Chandler and Danny getting together! This was a fun read! Thanks.

Lucky kids! I think a beach is probably my favorite place to vacation! Add in a plane ride and a boat ride, and I am certain most of the kids have had an amazing first time adventure! Thanks.

This makes me think of The Best Circle of Hell stories. I didn't like them all that well until I read Innocent Sacrifice. I really enjoyed it and decided to reread the others. I'm not certain what was different, but I enjoyed them all so much more the second time around! So when I saw Nagas, I knew I would enjoy this story! It has all the best features of your writing: interesting characters, good descriptions, and great dialogue! And some hot sex!! I wish I had better drawing skills. I would love to see pictures of Keith and the Nagas! Thanks for sharing.

You have added some more terrific supporting characters, and I loved them! Even Lemon is the guy you love to hate! My concern is things are going pretty smoothly. It must be about time for a monkey wrench in the machinery. I am really loving this story! Great job Gary!

Prompt 848: "That was the last thing I ever expected to see."
JeffreyL commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Prompt 848: "That was the last thing I ever expected to see."
Nice use of the prompt. And the last line had me doing a double-take and then chuckling to myself! It is always a pleasure to read what you write! Thanks Tim. -
What fun to be a voyeur into the lifestyle of the very rich! This is a very enjoyable chapter! Thanks.

Chapter 2: Welcome back, John Doe!
JeffreyL commented on Zuri's story chapter in Chapter 2: Welcome back, John Doe!
Gareth's parents seem a little odd. I can't pinpoint why; it's just a feeling I get. It will be interesting to see how things change as Gareth gets more of his memory back. Thanks. -
Each time another chapter of Brad's story is posted, it makes a little bright spot in my day. I enjoy seeing his dreams become reality. I wonder what it would be like to undertake such a project in the "real world." Thanks for continuing to share this wonderful story!
