You are a terrific writer, and this chapter really shows your ability! Pacing was first rate! You just kept sucking us in. You created a lot of tension for your readers, and caused a lot of questions to be asked. I rather liked that you did not sugar coat the werewolf fight, even though I am not much of a blood and guts kinda guy. Sawyer can't die, so I can't wait to see how you resolve this dilemma. Love Sawyer and Jimmy, and their story! Thanks.

Thank you for creating Jim! He is a wonderful character, and I loved his story! I am certain there are people like Jim in the world who are helping others like Jim does. Too bad there aren't more. I also loved all the boys! They and Jim's parents were wonderful supporting characters!

This is a wonderful story, and Dan is a terrific character! I must agree with Buz. There is scope here for a longer story. I have to add that although I would love more, you did not short change your characters' development or dialogue. Well-written and most enjoyable! Thanks.

The good thing about finding a new story later in the game is getting to read a bunch of chapters without having to wait for the next one. You have another story about kindness to others, and it supports my belief that karma is real. What goes around, comes around. Or if you like Biblical, as you sow so shall you reap. I love Jim and the boys! I am excited to see how things go with the "second generation" of boys. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing your poetry once again. I paints pictures for me that remind me of what I have seen on TV. Thanks also for your commitment to fighting fires, trying to keep the rest of us safe. I live in Washington State and one vacation visited the smokejumper base near Winthrop. I highly recommend a visit if anyone is interested and in the area.

In this feel-good story Alan decides to make some big changes in his life. The interesting part is that he is somewhere in his middle years. He leaves New York to move to a small town. There he builds his dream home , falls in love, befriends some neighbor children, and creates a family. I have enjoyed other stories by cljobe, and this is another one I definitely recommend.

Thanks for another feel-good story! I loved the way Alan totally changed his life in middle age. I also loved the way he used his wealth to make other lives better. His relationship with Cody and the boys flourished with the love and caring they shared. Thanks.

I enjoyed this story, but the ending was a little abrupt for me. I felt like things were not resolved. I am not certain which guy I want Jamie to end up with. Oh well, thanks for sharing this story.

Well, judging by the varied comments this chapter really got people involved (I was going to say stirred up.🤭). I believe that ear you have for dialogue really made this chapter terrific! I don't remember much about Colt, other than a few words in passing. This closer look has quickly made him another of your interesting characters. Thanks.

This chapter brought back fond memories of my trip to New York City. Actually it was my Mom's trip for her 80th birthday, and I got to tag along. When you live in Washington state, NYC is quite an adventure! It sounds like the kids had a great time! Thanks.

I come from a time when Westerns were popular on TV and at the movies. Like dughlas and Albert1334 I enjoyed them all: Gunsmoke, Wyatt Erp, The Rifleman, Sugarfoot, Bat Masterson, Maverick, Cheyenne, and a lot of John Wayne. Both Boone and Coy are interesting, and as northie commented, your dialogue was first rate! Thanks.

I haven't commented in a while. I just wanted to say how much I am loving this story! It keeps getting better and better! And I really love this group of characters you've created! They seem so real, and are people I would like to know. This would make a great movie! Too bad I am not a producer with buckets of money. 😎 I'd buy the rights to your story, so we could all go to the theater, have popcorn with fake butter, and enjoy a terrific action-adventure movie! I wasn't certain how I felt about Kayden at the beginning of the chapter. He is so meek and passive, and so many people, including his family, treat him badly. I have a hard time when characters are not respected. During the chapter you added several interesting characters. Many were the kind you love to hate! You have set up several situations that have piqued my curiosity. I am excited to read more! Thanks.

Both! I still really enjoy Mike's story! He has put himself first to become healthy and discover his true sensuality. I appreciate that you have included Dale and Maggie and what changes are happening because of Mike's new lifestyle! This may be a gay author and gay character sight, but there are straight people out there that gay people live and interact with. I do appreciate the lack of detail for their serial activity. On the other hand, I have been enjoying the details of Bob's and Mike's serial exploration! Thanks.

In spite of the negative parts of the visit with Pete's family, there was a lot of good in this chapter! Pete renews his relationship with his sister, Evie, and her family. Pete and his family start a new relationship with his nephew, Alex, that will lead to adoption. Luigi offers the top two floors of the restaurant building for Jimmy and Pete's future (and bigger) home! Still loving these characters and their story! Thanks.
