    The Cove

oh i feel a binge read session coming on
  2. loved the story line. i bit different take on the shifter stories. i found the story well paced. left me wanting for the next chapter of these characters lives as the grow.
  3. thanks
  4. This was the second story on this site I read (my 1st review now, i think). The first time i read it, I actually binged read it in 2 sessions i mean it is 50 chapters after all. It started good and just got better. Second book is just as good, but different in style. No pressure, but I'm hoping for another book/story set in this world. PS: I've read this one 5 times now. (so far)

    Friends

Friends, I remember you. Those that had my back. Those I cried to. Those who cried on me. Those who ripped my heart out. Those I believed liked me. Those who used me. Those I found and those I lost. I remember you all. My friends, I missed you all today. I was feeling low with no where to go. You are no where to be seen. Off together, with no breadcrumbs to follow. Still, I remember you all.

    Surviving

the darkness can overwhelm you until you can't see. i'm so glad you found your lighthouse. my 1st was at 7 years old and my last was about 30 years ago. keep fighting the darkness
  8. nice! so many memories. i think mousies as we call them, bring out the lion in most cats. i've only seen one cat being chased by a mouse, but that cat was strange. she was scared of the dark, heights and even her own tail scared her.
  9. i absolutely love the last line of the second poem. a partnership of love. again, another piece nicely done

    A Birth

great start Drew. i've seen many litters of newborn kittens, they leave a lasting memories, even 40 years later. no matter long or short you will make them come alive, just like you did here.
  11. ok i haven't watched anything in the last 3 season's so i'll take a very wild stab at it ned stark's father

    pieces of me

you also have friends who love you just the way you are. some may live in the computer box...but still count you as friends
  14. thanks sean. sometimes beautiful things happen when you spread your wings. you keep writing!
  15. thanks reader. there is a butterfly pavilion near here that we took a bunch of kids to. it was so beautiful, but the kids all wanted to chase them. i sat on a bench with my oxygen tank and got up close and personal with a few
  16. 1. Somewhere a heart is breaking. Elsewhere a heart is leaping for joy. In the darkness a heart is crushed. In the light a heart is mending. Such a strong thing, the heart is. 2. Butterflies. Flitting here, fluttering there. Chasing butterflies is an exercise in failure. But be still. Butterflies will alight. Love is the butterflies of the soul.
  17. utterly heartbreaking but beautifully said. my heart weeps

    Pledge

thank you Mike. relationships/marriages need to be an all in type thing. both have to be a part of the care and feeding of it. glad you both are willing to work on it and you have people to help you.

    Remember Me

thanks. it is so true. too many kids
  22. it not true every where. 2 hospitals and one rehab in the last year and not one blocked me. although the nurses looked at me strangely, not because it was gay reading site, just that I was there. sorry you're back in the hospital, hope the stay is a short one!

    Remember Me

thanks caz. it was one of the factors in deciding to homeschool. that i was in control of how fast he grew up. i didn't want for him to fend for himself at a young age. he had fun and by the time he was a teenager he was well rounded and adjusted. i hate the over sexualazition of children. what 5 year old needs a push-up bra?

    Remember Me

thanks gary. so many bear this burden. i take comfort in the inherent unfairness in the world. otherwise the things that have been done to me, would mean i deserve them and the person who told you life was fair? he lied

    Remember Me

very unfair to be sure, but for me, it was a means to survive. although i could have done without the adventure as a 1st grader helping to feed the schizophrenics their dinners place at the where my mother worked. thanks for the hugs
