  5. It was raining. You were my boss, my ride. You offered dinner at 3am. We talked til sunrise. Told you, I didn’t want to go home. You offered me your place. The squat green trailer. A one night stand. It was all I wanted. You were so virgin, I was so used. But the craving for human touch was much. We exploded. You were to be a one night stand. You had other ideas. Pulling me in, day after day. Transferring me to hide our coupling. I tried to protect me, b

    Waterworks

    1. The sun shines. The sky is blue. White fluffy clouds drift by. Lies. All lies. The darkness in the mind, throw shadows. Stormy eyes see the world through wetness dripping down. The heart whipping the emotions, blowing hot and cold. A storm is brewing. 2. Water. Dropping on parched ground. Drop by drop as the clouds pass. Faster and faster as the heavens open. Rushing fast. The ground rejects it. Sending on to destruction. Tears

    Lost

    1. Lost in a sea of silence. The thoughts echoing in the deep. No one to stop the barbs. No one to buoy the spirit. Silence lengthening the night. Daylight is torturous. Once laughter and chattering filled the hours. Chat rooms deserted. TV is a poor substitute for human interaction. Silence reigns. Humanity lost. 2. I stood beside you as you got ready to fly. In my head and heart I knew I lost you. I had to let you go. And as you winged yourself forward,

  19. Bathing the sky in blackness. the mountain peaks in stark relief while orange and red painted the sky 32,000 hurrying to get out of the way, releasing the livestock, hoping for the best. Almost 29 square miles gone in the onslaught of days. 346 homes gone, land mark burned to the ground. 2 people dead. Outlaying places opening homes and business for the displaced. So many running for safety, while a courageous few ran toward the heat. Battling day and night. Fighting fatig

    Gone

    1. She waited. She always waited. "I'm still here" she said "Oh, yes, so you are. We forgot" they chorused "i know" she whispered. But still she waited. She tried not to hope. She said to herself, "next time will be better." and she waited. But next time never came. For she had finished her usefulness 2. Hope died today. It wasn’t easy or quick. It was so slow that no one saw. Hope just faded away, with out so much as a whisper. Hope died today, and no on
