    Retire on 30 June and not give in to pressure to stay a day longer. keep firm and convince my partner that I am capable of controlling 2 mini dachshunds and keep taking them to obedience classes lest they train me. @weinerdog may have to give me advice…. Please. oh and lose the 5 kilos necessary to keep drs and specialists off my back. Ps I’ve gained a kilo this holiday season…

    My Irish grandmother always said she would start the long-needed diet, “next Monday”. As a child I never got it, nor did she ever diet! So in her spirit, next Monday I will decide on the resolution for 2024. ps have reread yr list, so funny 😂

    Many thanks raven 1 for sharing this. I teach in a private school with the usual quota of ADHD. Some parents are in denial and it’s all the teacher’s fault if the kid gets into trouble; others can’t wait to get the kid on pills as young as possible, and it’s sad seeing them doped and losing their identity; and finally those who are able to work through the issues, giving the child the time and understanding needed. again, many thanks to you and James for writing and sharing on this issue.     1. Mark Arbour series. Hard to choose but for sheer historical authenticity, then Bridgemont. 2. Valencian “arroz al horno”. 3. part one: get through and survive last six months until I retire, neatly enough, on 30 June. Part two, post July 1, get my life and health back and getting two mini weinerdogs to make a certain member here jealous! For the AAA others especially Chris and lawful have summed things up perfectly for me. many thanks aastone.

    They did, more than you can imagine. I was 12 when Stonewall occurred. I’ve seen hard-fought rights begrudgingly conceded and now those same rights under so much threat. But the genes will win out. A beautiful piece. Thank you.
