  1. Thank you! There is more to come.
  2. Thx! Sorry to disappoint, I had to give it a miss. I need to cut on work drastically...
  3. Congrats! The event seems to have been quite a thing. I am so sorry I missed it! Even more to read... enjoy!
  4. Did I not just read that you were not here? 😉

    Chapter 1

@CassieQ! This beautiful tale wants a comment from you, *wink*, *wink*...
  6. I am so sorry for all victims of religion. Why do we allow some people's thoughts about their invisible friends to have such an impact on everybody's life?!? Anyway, you escaped, you got better, and that is the most important!
  7. Thx! That explains. I then assume the "Last visited" to be correct.
  8. This one completely caught me by surprise. It is so not what I imagined. I cannot give away too much without spoiling it, but let me emphasize that "jealousy from time to time can be a good...and not so good...thing". Despite the title and the subject, it made me feel good at the end!

  9. Are you going to support your best friend over your girlfriend? Jack makes a decision, and what do they say? "Revenge is a dish best served cold!" While the details of the revenge are questionable, it is well deserved. This is a very well written, engaging story with believable characters and plot. However, it is not light reading if you are an "incurable romantic" and looking for the wonderful ever after.

  10. I am in the process of reading a story by @dkstories, and I wanted to check on the author. URL: https://gayauthors.org/profile/212-dkstories/ I noticed their author profile shows "Last visited: April 26th, 2013". However, the Activity list shows a chapter posting on "June 19th, 2021". Not really important, but the last visited value gives an idea whether an author is active or not.
  11. I had not thought how useful I would find it! Thank you!

    Chapter 2

It seems to be the case that most young people get their "news" from TikTok, Facebook, and the rest. Apart from the obvious quality issues, people seem to have an average attention span of 10 seconds. I really do not use SM, but even I notice nowadays that I: - grab for the phone whenever there is a spare moment - read mostly online - have a need to be "updated" i.e. when using the phone, always something new and quick. Sad!

    Chapter 2

Proper investigative journalism is necessary to bring what is hidden to light. Unfortunately, journalism is dying out.

    Chapter 1

That one made me angry. I take you by your word that there is hope yet to come. I remember a quote "I love to hate"...
  15. Mea culpa, exclusively! I realise I had never written it before. Research indicates "mom" is used in British English as well, so please forgive me
  16. Thx! Well spotted.
  17. Excellent find! Mea culpa! I will rectify. Done, thx!

    Epilogue

Excellent thought! Nope, they did not find out. In every civilized country, the press enjoy "source confidentiality", and although it might seem outrageous sometimes, this is a fundamental privilege to ensure a free press to check those in power! Maybe
  19. Wow, you made me check. Indeed it is! I would have never believed that possible! Thank you, glad you like! Leave a recommendation
  20. Thank you! Not too much dialogue?
  21. Yes, and other things ...
  22. The last installment of the series balances the action and character arcs perfectly. I find it the best of the three. Expect love, passion, and sex in a wonderfully crafted sci-fi setting. To follow this story, it is not necessary to have read the two previous installments of the series.

  23. The second installment of the series has less of a high sci-fi arc, and concentrates more on the characters onboard. It is an excellent continuation of the first book which contained much more action, to get to know the inner workings of the ship's society. We follow Erron navigating the murky waters of being new in a workplace and finding himself. Believable characters and a believable world, definitely worth a read.
  24. Take a tin can traveling for weeks in space, filled exclusively with gay men - no women allowed, apart from the ship's AI, Mrs. Claus - and imagine the drama... and whatever you might be thinking now, is not correct. While the ship might be run against every employment regulation I can think of, it is filled with believable characters who all have their own baggage and find support in each other. The story is a page turner because of the arc, the characters, and the sensible descriptions of a well-thought through sci-fi world. And yes, sex is there as well ... lots.
