This story is autobiographical in nature, but I have made some modifications to protect the identities of those included in it. All the names have been changed, and in some cases things such as gender, locations, and sometimes familial compositions have been altered.

All that being said, this is MY truth, and it's time I released it so that I'm free to create from a place other than brokenness and sadness.

This will be dark, but there are spots of light in the great black. No void is truly empty when one gazes into it. The light from our eyes illuminates more than we realize.

(This short story is several years old, but I thought I'd share.)

Unforntunately for Seth, the man he loves does not feel quite the same way about the destructive beauty of nature. Jake has just been wandering the neighborhoods of Marshalltown, Iowa. What is going through his head could only drive him insane or drive him to love.

Matt Donovan realizes that his relationship with Charlie isn't the secret he thought it was. Others within in his small fishing community are opening their eyes to his reality, including his one true crush, the outspoken, gruff-around-the-edges Jake Kowalczyk, who himself begins to discover that his feelings for Matt go beyond a platonic friendship after Matt almost dies.

Bryce has suffered from migraines for years. He's finally on a migraine preventative, but even that can't stop all of them. When one hits at an inopportune time, he has to depend on Kevin to take care of him.

A middle aged man returns to his childhood home to bury his father and confront the man from his past.

Life's little surprises.

Yet another collection of poetry, added to as the mood or fancy strikes me. I hope you enjoy at least some of it.
