Depression… Sometimes feelings go deeper than just a general unease. Sometimes they slide down to the pit of your soul and you can’t seem to get them to climb back up.

These poems reflect those moments in my life. Some reflect moments that I thought would be the last of my life.

My first short story.

What is done cannot be undone.

But what is broken can always be mended.

This story is about the tragic end to a young woman's life when she failed to give an imaginary friend a new life. Told in the perspective of the friend.

Neil is a control freak who is dying. In his final few months, his main concern is properly managing his death and planning his funeral. But stage-managing your death isn't as easy as a smart & talented control freak would think.

Contemporary fiction short story, it's sad and for some hopefully an eye opener.

Dialogue heavy with moderate language and scenes not for the weak of heart.

After dreaming of his brother the first night he moves out of home, Declan writes to his Jason, realising that moving on takes time.

Declan has some difficult things to say to Jason on the day they would have turned eighteen and brings him one last blueberry muffin. They always were Jason's favourite.

This short story collection is embracing all the cruelty and beauty of the world around us, highlighting the small details of the development of our feelings and emotions. Sometimes what doesn't kill you makes you scarred for a lifetime, sometimes it is really hard to realize how much you hurt other people, and sometimes you don't realize how much they hurt you. You need a lot of courage and fear to be able to commit suicide, but even to be able to stay alive.
