White Elephant Present Prompt #23: "Stars for the Star." A bit of sweet at Christmas.

I looked at the envelope. I knew what it was by the Company Secret Santa sticker on it. So, why was I nervous to open it. It was probably just a gift card, no one knew me well enough to get me anything personal.

But, then why was it my favorite shade of purple????

Working at Merryweather's used to be a secure job. Now the weather market's been opened up, the competition from other companies is fierce.

A new intern at the Grand Theatre is sent to find some costumes from the store. It doesn't prove easy ...

Colin begins a new job and befriends Charles, a socialite who represents everything Colin despises. Despite fundamental life differences, they begin to build a deep friendship. Unbeknownst to Colin, Charles is falling in love with him, only to watch Colin fall in love with—and begin to build a life with another man. Jeff Fletcher is perfect for the job: he's experienced, knowledgeable, and basically does his manager's duties as it is. He's stunned, however, when his interview is over in mere minutes. Initially unable to determine what caused his interview to go more poorly than expected, Jeff begins to realize that there's underlying issues at play.
