A passionate fan of the Star Trek series, he comes to a certain penthouse and is greeted by a boy dressed as Captain Kirk's son. 5 hours later, several bags of candy consumed and every possible Star Trek topic discussed, he was no longer alone.

14-year-old Aiden Desmond is used to knowing things others don't. He knows about things from books his friends don’t read, things on tests in higher grades, things that happen that adults don’t talk about, and about bad days on a person's personal calendar, days when things happened, that divided their life into "Before" and "After."

But that didn’t prepare him for things like this. Two secrets, two radical shifts in what he knew. Aiden is used to knowing things others don't, but to get used to these things, he needs answers.

This journal is supposed to help me get through life. Write what happened for the day, then reflect upon the words. Since I started my sophomore year in high school, it's become a daily activity. These entries certainly helped me through some bad times.

Let's hope college won't be as brutal. I guess I should put this away. Got a long drive ahead of me. It's move-in day! I'm praying my roommate won't be an asshole and make fun of my art.
