This story is autobiographical in nature, but I have made some modifications to protect the identities of those included in it. All the names have been changed, and in some cases things such as gender, locations, and sometimes familial compositions have been altered.

All that being said, this is MY truth, and it's time I released it so that I'm free to create from a place other than brokenness and sadness.

This will be dark, but there are spots of light in the great black. No void is truly empty when one gazes into it. The light from our eyes illuminates more than we realize.

It’s Christmas Eve and Jacob and his friends are celebrating the holiday with food, gifts and family. As challenging as the last two months have been, he’s going to find that the best gifts are the ones you never plan on getting.

Gabe is a 25 year old man coming home to find him self and his purpose in life.

Returning to duty from the incident that gifted him with the powers to become Liberty, Cameron finds himself reassigned as the personal driver to the rugged and handsome Colonel John Haverson.

Cameron will need all his skills to keep the Colonel safe and to keep himself from falling for the older man.

It's Devin Rous' birthday weekend, and he's turning 18-years-old. With secrets coming to light on this special day of his, Devin's 18th birthday will be one of his most cherished, and the start of a living nightmare.

This is an Urban Fantasy, Portal Story, set in the Modern USA. Specifically Washington D.C.

This is my second story. It is mostly nonfiction with a little fiction mixed in. It is based on an real-life experience of a close friend that I thought would make for a good short story. He provided the skeleton and I filled in the dialogue with his approval. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed hearing it recounted to me.
