A short story of love found between two like minded teen boys and the tribulations they encounter.

Prologue.

When I was in college, I had a friend that worked the summers at various resorts. In the fall when school would resume, he’d hold court at lunch and tell us tales of his summer experience, showing us his trinkets, that’s what he called them. Based on those tales, I wrote the following story, Home Away From Home.

Be warned, the story involves explicit sex between gay couples. If you have read any my other stories, this will be quite different.

Nash Cushman had a good life. Nominated for 'Man of the Year, he had a good job, a great husband, and a community of people who loved him. Until he didn't. Through it all, life and love found a way. One man got what he never knew he wanted (or needed) while the other got the impossible.

a bloody shirt, a broken door, a school bag, a new book and a calico cat.

A small fishing village on the North West corner of the US lies a fishing boat, the Scuffy. It lies at the wharf across from a friendly tavern, called The Wharf, which is a hangout for the captains of the fishing boats. One boat is different as it is manned by a very young crew.

Stephen must make a decision, live or die.

Jimmy thought there would be plenty of time to decided who would ring his bell. He felt no compulsion to date, male or female, he was happy. Until the new student became a friend just before graduation.
