Dean is a firefighter who is struggling with his fears of coming out and his feeling for a colleague. This story is the sequel to The Fire Extinguisher, but it’s not necessary to read that story first, unless you want to know exactly who Bart is.

Jessica sets out to find her son, but she has a major decision to make, whether to try to put her family back together or to set off in a new direction with her son.

Teenage love story that entails acceptance, tolerance, forgiveness and love. One struggles to understand his sexuality and questions whether he is gay. Once a relationship is established their coming out and their interaction with family members and friends and how they deal with those whom aren't very accepting. The struggle to support a friend whose family rejects him for being gay. The story begins at early childhood and continues to their high school graduation.

Tony and Geoff's relationship appears solid and their love life is progressing. Some things are not such plain sailing however.
