Samuel is a quiet guy just barely living his life when a massive traffic jam turns into a huge accident. As he blacks out he makes a wish that reflects his biggest regret in life. When he wakes up, he vows to himself he's going to change his outlook on life till he looks around a strange room and sees a little girl copying his every move.

Poetry by Lacuna. The title is based on my first name, Lydia, which was an iron age empire located where Turkey is today.

Bushfires are destructive, but Brian didn't realise what one was about to destroy.

This story was written as an addition to the Sanitaria Springs series of stories. Those are stories written by Dabeagle and other authors who he invited to contribute. They are about events in the lives of several teen boys who live in the fictional town of Sanitaria Springs in New York State. The stories are interwoven and this particular story picks up on a character first met in a story titled 'Without A Trace.'

I do not think it is essential to read that story before reading this tale as I believe there is sufficient 'back story' here to enable this one to stand alone, but feel free to do so.

Response to the 2014 Writing Prompts

It's been nearly two weeks since Keith kissed him, and Shiro hasn't managed to find time alone with his friend ever since. But he's not going to put pressure on Keith, because Keith trusts him.
And after all, they're just kissing.
