The world was shaped to be good and prosperous. The gods were commanded to guard it, and for many an age it was so. But in a night of great conflict the world was shattered by powerful magic and the sky fell upon the mortal realms. 20 years have passed. Ambitions have reignited and armies march once more. Champions must rise to save the mortal realms, for failure means the end of all they know. Ki grew up in this world, and the story of the years to come is also his story.

Aidan wants him to be the inspiration for his next paintings so badly that he makes a tempting offer. But soon he realizes that he has a decision to make. Aidan can’t be certain whether it's only the artist in him who is allured by Rick’s charming looks or if there is more than that.
