However, you don't have to read "GFD" in order to enjoy this dark story about a runaway teen and his little brother on the streets of Chicago. After a few days’ stay on a remote and bleak island in the sea, a writer finds that the boat he arrived in has been torn from its mooring by a storm. None of the locals will take him to the mainland, afraid to brave the waters after the storm, and as he struggles to make his way home, it seems more and more as if something doesn’t want him to leave.

So, here is what I can tell you. The story you are about to read is the story of a man, who was going about his regular life, when something very irregular happens. Something that defies the very laws of reality. What will this man do as a result of that irregularity? Let's find out...

It is Halloween night when all sorts of monsters prowl and come out from their shadows. Jules is a gay bookish 14-year-old boy, who enjoys reading and watching horror more than pretending to be a monster. He is forced to attend a Halloween party by his boyfriend, Mark. Something horrifying is about to occur.

Kiorl is the right hand of the Devil, and sits on the left hand of the Prince of Hell, he is the third most powerful demon in the Inner Circle, and a cocky, confident, self-conceited son-of-a-bitch. But Kiorl's life isn't perfect, sharing the King's bed for political gain might be more trouble than it's worth, and apparently he has developed a conscience at some point in the last hundred years or so. Still, there's plenty of fun distractions to be had in the most favoured house on the hill.
