These are a few poems I wrote a few years ago.

For Josh and Colin, life is complex enough without love intruding. But as their relationship deepens, both must take a chance and abandon their fears and the ghosts of their pasts to take the next step. Deciding to risk it all for love is one thing, but making it work is another entirely. Will and Harvey are best friends. Will is an athlete who's been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. Harvey is gay and a political animal. Neither knows the other's big secret. Will they drift apart?

This is the story of a gay National Serviceman (an Army conscript) during the South African / Angolan war in the 1980s.

The first few chapters deal with the main character's basic training. After Basics he is sent to the border (that is what we called Namibia), where he experiences his first firefight.

He falls in love during basics. During the firefight they both realise the depth of their love for each other.

Poems

You would think that falling in love and finding a boyfriend would get easier once you began coming out to your friends and family. But Gabe is finding out that the same nervous jitters, the same paralyzing fear, and the same unavoidable misery exists when lost in the maze of infatuation. Sometimes, finding what you really want in another boy can be just as terrifying as not finding it.
