Jamie Grimmstone is a young apprentice mage in the shop of the Master Thorvil, and longs to be a master himself. Together with his best friend (and boyfriend) Garvin Kinsmith, they keep the Master’s shop in order, assist the Master on his many missions, and study to one day become more than they are.

Life seems orderly, if slow, and Jamie has resigned himself to years of study before he can be a true mage himself…until one day, quite unexpectedly, an opportunity arises that the boys can hardly pass up, and they are off on a task that quickly turns into an adventure...

The guys are rolling along now with their business, Third Planet Inquiries, and it looks like their future is secure. Good ol’ planet earth has a lot of strange things going on that need to be investigated! And as Halloween approaches, Kippy is hoping something will come up to occupy their attention, something creepy or spooky, in keeping with that holiday. So, when Amy gets a strange phone call, things start to get interesting, and the guys are off on another adventure, just in time for Halloween!

Charlie and the gang return to the realm of the dead to deal with the malicious spirit Lane Tallfield, first encountered in the Halloween tale, I Think This Place is Haunted, Charlie Boone! Their own Christmas spirit has been placed on hold in the hopes that they can corral the ex-lawman and keep him from causing even more trouble for their alien friends. It's not something Charlie would rather be dealing with at Christmas time, but he knows that putting off the next confrontation might be dangerous in more ways than one!

This tale is a follow-up to I Think This Place is Haunted, Charlie Boone! You really should read that one first!

This is my first attempt at writing a story that is no gay or straight. There are people in it that are both. It is set in the future, but once you begin to read it what year it is won't matter.

This is book four in the series, 'The Life and Times of Avery Noonan.' It will focus on Madeline, although the rest of the family will make appearances.

To refresh your memories, Madeline was born in Philadelphia, PA in May of 2034. Madeline, or Mads as she was known from a fairly young age, also has an unusual ability. This ability was quite unique and dictated the direction of her career.

I had the general idea quite some time ago, needing another psychic ability, it seemed like a perfect time to make use of that old idea. Keep the tissues handy.
