J.A.M. - 6. Chapter 6
J.A.M.
By: Wesley Lewis
Entry 18
I’m not sure what to do. Phillip was all I could dream about last night. I just can’t figure out why I’m so damn jealous of this new neighbor. I think his name was Benji. Wonderful he cute and has a dog’s name. OK that was mean, but who the hell else is going to read this anyway. He’s supposed to bring him over today. This morning when I woke up I heard a commotion in the kitchen. When I got there, thee stood my two guardians covered head to toe in flour. When they noticed me, they got a weird look in their eyes and suddenly advanced on me! I hightailed it out of there before they could mess up my hair with that crap. I sat down and started watching the news. As usual a bunch of violence and protests. One of the stories that was reported fire that resulted from a meth lab blowing up. There were three kids in the house. How the hell can someone do something so damn stupid and reckless with the kids. People these days I swear. At least nobody died in the fire. I got up so I wouldn’t get depressed about anything else and silently spied on my two “adult” caretakers. They were busy cleaning up so I figured I’d help them. After about thirty minutes we finally got the mess cleaned up and decided to go out for breakfast.
Entry 19
Wow people surprise me every day. We went to the diner and got seated at a booth. Before we even had the chance to order some old dude started ranting and raving about Drew and Tom being fags and getting me away from those who would corrupt me. I tried my best to ignore him and just before I was about to tell someone in the first time in my life to fuck off, the manager of the diner came out and asked the man to leave. Usually people would agree with the old fart. It was funny to hear him rant and rave all the way out the door spouting off about hellfire and brimstone, and how we all were going to suffer from eternal damnation. It took everything Drew and Tom not to bust out laughing. The manager tried to give the meal to us for free but they wouldn’t accept it. Anyway, we got home and lazed around until the doorbell ring. Great, time to meet Mr. wonderful.
Entry 20
Holy crap Benji is hot. I mean damn it there I go again talking about how hot another guy is. I mean I prefer Phillip but I wouldn’t mind having a make-out session with Benji. He’s a pretty cool guy he told us about his girlfriend where he was living before. Excuse me for a second, YES!!!!!!! HE’S STRAIGHT!!!! Sorry had to get that out. I must say I felt bad for Phillip his face fell as soon as the word girlfriend came out of his mouth. I know I’m going to sound like an ass for saying this, but I’ll be there for him. I think I need to tell him what I’m thinking anyway, maybe he can help me sort out what’s going on with me. Anyway, we spent the whole time playing video games and chatting. It was funny seeing how bad Benji was beating Phillip at Call of Duty. If he beat Phillip, there’s no way in hell I was going to play him. We all went out for pizza later and dropped them off at Phillip’s house afterwards. Tomorrow is going be a day, me and Drew get the blood test results back. Is it bad that I hope he’s my bio-dad? I miss daddy, but it would be great to have parents again.
Entry 21
I’m numb right now. The doctor gave us the blood results today Drew is my dad. I’m happy about that, but it’s the other news the doctor had for me that has me numb. He said I had Leukemia.
Jam tries to hold it together after devestating news.
Tom reacts unexpectedly
and Drew takes steps to ensure Jam has a great life
