Rob you are one of the first authors i discovered on here. Im glad you are one of a few i truly consider a friend. Your stories cheered me up on bad days, have made me sad on some days, and on occasion had me mad (damn that penny and randolph!). You are in my prayers. I hope everything works out for you. I love you man

I have laughed and cried at the stories you have written and you have made me happy when I read them. You are a strong willed man, I can tell from your writing. May the love that surrounds you from those you know and those who only know you through your writing be a source of comfort and solace as you face the challenges of your immediate future.  None of us knows or is guaranteed any number of days.  Our "job" is to leave the world around us in a better condition than we found it.  You do so through your writing as one means, and I am sure you have affected and do affect many others daily knowingly or unknowingly.  Be strong, be at peace, be thankful for all blessings daily, and trust in love to carry you through the journey - and may it be for years to come!

Worth the Struggle was one of the first stories I read on this site. The very first chapter had me in stitches. This was my family! You made me laugh and cry and laugh in such a wonderful way. Thank you for sharing, caring, and loving us so much that we found we had no choice but to reciprocate. I sincerely pray you make it through this part of your struggle with a better heart, healthier lungs, and a brain that can continue being as creative and sharp as before. We have become recipients of the products that you breathed life to, that your heart pumped beautiful emotions to, that your wicked wit plucked from that head of yours...sigh. I could go on. 

Just know we are with you during this time, and thank you for sharing with us.

Shocked and saddened by your news. I pray medical science can help you.  I have read all your books and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. I echo all the sentiments above. Thank you for keeping us advised. 

Positivity is key!

I’ve witnessed miracles firsthand, as a kid my father was not expected to live more than days, then weeks, then he started to recover. My father beat all odds, from all doctors, dealing with a rare spinal meningitis, that had no treatment at that time. I was a child of 12, my father passed 42 years later; as he made a miraculous recovery that took nearly a year, but one of few to recover before treatments were discovered. Be positive and never give up, as the gift of foresight is beyond us humans.

Doctors can’t explain or account for many of the marvels that may still manifest; hopefully in a long and rewarding life going forward, but at least to have a surprisingly good and beyond all expectations quality of life with family, friends, and all that cherish your presence.

Your stories have given me something to look forward to when times were dark and I can only hope you will get over this hurdle.

I hate how life can be such a hard mistress to mistreat the kind caring individuals in the world and seem to reward the selfish ungratefully assholes of the world.

I don't know what else I can add that any of the previous commenters haven't said already.

But just know your are in my thoughts and I am sending you my best wishes and hopes for a miracle.

I don't think there is anything I can say that what tinytoes here has just stated. Just know that all of your devoted readers Love You! Everyone of them have stated it above and I am sure plenty more will in the coming days. The important thing is to get your health stabled and then get well. Just keep the determination that you will fight and win this battle.
