As Josh recovers, some of the older boys pitch in to help out, so they won’t be split up. After 9/11, Josh comes to the rescue of a boy whose parents died that day. He also has to deal with a biological mother who is trying to regain custody by claiming Josh is unfit. Which way will the court rule?

Ricky is an exchange student in Australia for a year. The family the Curries met in England comes to visit them in the US. That fall, Josh learns one of the boys has been diagnosed with Leukemia and together they battle this disease. Will Josh’s help be enough?

There was nothing Bryson and James wanted more than to get away from the stress of college, and once Bryson had convinced him, James was sure that this ski trip was the perfect way to do just that. Their week together in the snow would turn out to be something James would never forget, or the test that interrupted it, and the phone call he gets that night when Bryson was almost home.

The Carthera are a violent race, never failing to respond to battle, they nevertheless are a proud and honorable people. Except for the ferals. Battles for territory, fighting persecution from the humans, for the right to rule, have echoed down through the ages. In these modern times things are different, easier. Laws are made--and enforced--and peace, of a sorts, is possible. Some seek to end that.
