Flux - Prologue. Prologue
December 25, 2001
Escorial, CA
“Come on, Wade,” I whined, but I smiled at him to show I was doing it to be funny. I was so close to my goal, I could feel it. I was like a lion stalking its prey, and I was just one big sprint away from the kill.
“There is no way you’re sleeping with me,” he said firmly. “There are other rooms here.”
“You won’t even let me crash with you?” I asked. It was way more than that, and he knew it. I wanted to have sex with him in the worst way. I knew that if we were together, physically united, he’d remember that he loved me, he would forgive me, and then we could be together again. That would be the best Christmas present ever.
“Look Matt, I like hanging out with you, but that’s all I can do,” he said. I was stunned, absolutely stunned. There’s no way I thought he’d actually reject me. I thought I had this in the bag.
Then I remembered what Wade really liked. He liked to be dominated, and once I did that, and earned his surrender, he’d fuck me like a wild man. I grabbed him and surged forward, planting my lips on his, driving my tongue into his mouth. I used my body to push him back against the wall, letting him feel my muscles struggling against his. He was fighting me, which wasn’t unusual when we did this, but he didn’t let up, until finally he managed to push me away. “Smurf!” he said, to stop me. That was our safe word. We’d decided that nothing was more dick-shrinking than thinking about a smurf.
I backed away from him, feeling horrible: shocked and guilty. “I’m sorry,” I said quickly, and turned and all but ran away from him, and away from Escorial.
That’s when I knew that I’d really lost him.
