  1. Happy Saturday. It's Labour Day weekend here in Canada. I was in bed by 10pm. That seems to work for me. I actually sleep, and i have a good 3 hours of quiet alone time in the morning. Michael is not an early sleeper like me, He is very much a night owl. It's all good. I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend whenever it starts.
  2. Happy Friday. Only up 5 minutes and ready to go back to bed. But i have some things to do and people to see today. I'll be back later on. Hope you all have a good day. “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” —Mark Twain (1835-1910) [Samuel Clemens] humorist, essayist, novelist
  3. Yeah parts of TO got beaten up, there wasn't much wind where we are. We had a long thunderstorm and all of that but not the damage and power outages like they did farther west. Glad you're unscathed too!
  4. i think most of us would scream at that. I don't mind spiders if they are outside. I won't bother them if they stay away from me. Inside.. that's a different matter. (Things that fly or have more than 4 legs ... take note.) Michael is my go to bug killer. He doesn't cower in the corner like i do. I will step up and do it if there's no one else around though. Usually, we get a spider that takes up residence in the bathroom. I name them Harold, and when they get too big, Michael rescues them and puts them outside. They are eating something, so that's a good thing. However, jumping is a big no no and gliding down silently on silk is another. I hope you are okay...
  5. Back soon.. time for the morning walk..finally.
  6. It's not. It's solid and strong and those other two are just show-offs.
  7. Gary, how can you say such a thing? Honestly, look at those little angelic faces. Our Ripley had an angelic face and he was the devil in disguise. haha
  8. It's kinda the same here.. If you can work for some level of government you are in a union and protected by them. They get paid better than 'normal' people. So, whether you are a local meter reader or work for the Feds in some capacity, you make more. I worked for a bank which are federally regulated but we didn't have a union. Michael is in the police union even though he is a civilian because of what he does.
  9. Ah, thank you.
  10. What does this mean?
  11. The sky turned orange afterwards, like it was when we had the bad wildfire smoke. But luckily the giant fans we have in place to blow it down to the U.S. worked quickly.
  12. Happy Thursday. A long weekend is coming up! Means i see my Husband more... yay! I kind of like Him. Just looking at the pictures of the mess those wild storms left behind. So many stranded cars, lots of flooding. We fared okay where we are and it never seemed to get as windy as some places did. Nor did we get hail over here. Saw one picture where water was high enough to get into a bus. Pictures of people with their feet off the floor. Some pics of pedestrians, just giving up trying to stay dry, happy to be on their feet, i think. Personally, i've never seen a thunderstorm last for two hours. Usually, they are here and gone in twenty minutes. That was a crazy storm. I've never gotten an Emergency Alert on my phone for one either, that made me jump, let me tell you. Nuts. Anyway, hope everyone has a good day! “How do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time.” —Morgan Freeman (born 1937) American actor, director, and narrator.
  13. There's lots of varieties of MGMs... they sell some at our store which are not whole wheat, much too sweet and very oily. So you just have to find one you like.
  14. Oh, the recipe is from Sally's Baking Addiction .. it's hers but they are super good. Bit of a pain to make but not hard and so worth it.
