Weekly Wrap Up (Apr. 2 - Apr. 8)

Pssssst, did you hear!   Yes, this is week one of the Poetry Anthology being released 🕺 Now it is up to us readers to go take a look and thank our great members that participated with a review, comment, even a like. It lets them know how much you appreciate their contributions. It is Easter weekend, and has anybody bought all their chocolate? How much are you going to share  ? If you are not a chocolate fan, you can always grab some when it is being cleared out on Monday and drop it in

Help So, did I get your attention  ? Seriously, we need help from as many members as possible! I have been in conversation with @Carlos Hazday and he has 1 question left to ask an author(s) for Ask An Author. Needless to say, no questions, no Ask An Author . Your question could be about anything you want to ask. You can specify an author or authors you want directed to, or just ask the question and Carlos will put it out there still. If you click on his name above and then click o

Greetings all from a cold, wet, ugly, grey corner of Canada   I know the saying is spring showers bring May flowers, but this every 3rd day of snowfall is not making me happy. On top of that I'm sick . So this will be my shortest intro in a long time. On Monday, Cia brought us the new Classic Author Feature: On Wednesday, she was back once again, but this time with the Classic Author Excerpt: Thursday, Renee dropped by to get everyone ramped up and hopefully get some more g

I've been sitting here at the computer staring at it for about 10 minutes  Is this what writers block is to all you authors out there? Not like I'm creating anything that will be talked about, reviewed, commented on or anything like what you all put out there day after day. I'm sure the Writers Circle has a ton of topics on how to get over writers block and then I think of all the interviews Cia has done where she asks Authors what they do to tackle this hurdle or get in the mood . Just is

The one good thing about taking forced holidays is you get a lot of crap done that you should have done way in the past  Let's see, I finally got my painting done that I started in November. Bought new appliances that I wanted to do before Christmas and got some new furniture too! So I will host the next GA Friday night party, and you all are invited . You can all crash on my new couch   Now what to do in the week ahead ? Any recommendations? I am working my way slowly through the Poetry An

Soooo, The other night I woke up with my pillow on the side of my face and I had hair in my mouth and in my nose  I've never had a beard for more than a week before in my life, but I let it grow out over the past 5 weeks. The unibomber had nothing on me  And the eyebrow,s even Albert Einstein would be jealous  So enough was enough and woke up today and got out the cordless waterproof clippers and got rid of the damn beard! Next, got out the actual hairdresser clippers and started to use a #

Hello everyone, sounds like I finally got the recognition I deserved . You all can now call me the Grand Poo-bah  (check out the Words Of The Day). Actually I laughed when I saw that. For years and years I worked for the Calgary Flames as a rink rat, but I was isolated at the other end of the rink from the other 3 guys I worked with. They monthly had one of the three be the Grand Poo-bah. But looks like I get the name in the end . Speaking of being called names . I thought I would check in

Happy Easter!!!! I couldn't find any Easter Bunnies in our membership (sorry if I missed you), so I asked another member to help us out with a selfie of how they look on Easter morning   Now before you go and find her droppings around your house  you know the ones, the little brown chocolate ones. Or maybe you are lucky enough to get a big one  No matter what you did or didn't get, shall we see what gifts the GA Blog gave us this week? Tuesday was our time to get a review fr

Hey all So, if your city, town country, etc. has a beer festival and you don't fight the demons of the alcohol , I suggest you might want to check it out!! Today I went to the Calgary International Beer Festival and somehow I'm still of the mind that I think I can right this blog  Myself, I'm more a straight kind of pilsner kind of guy, seldomly venturing into the the likes of IPA's, stouts, ales, and all the others. Well, I surprised myself . I had a great day at the festival and think t
