Weekly Wrap Up (Apr. 16 - Apr. 22)

The one good thing about taking forced holidays is you get a lot of crap done that you should have done way in the past :gikkle: Let's see, I finally got my painting done that I started in November. Bought new appliances that I wanted to do before Christmas and got some new furniture too! So I will host the next GA Friday night party, and you all are invited :D. You can all crash on my new couch

Now what to do in the week ahead ? Any recommendations? I am working my way slowly through the Poetry Anthology. Need to go back and leave some comments, I'm one of those guys that like to think about comments and come back later. I did my spring cleaning in my house as I was painting and maintaining it, but probably can now do a good cleaning inside and out of my vehicle. Kind of watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs, so Go Winnipeg Go!! ;)

Enough about me. I know we have different forum topics on what you are listening too, what your reading off GA, etc. The past week I finally finished off reading Going Down in La La Land. Have any of you read it? What did you think? Or, what interesting non GA stories might you be reading? Oh, unbeknownst to me, I guess it was made into a movie. Need to add that to my my list for the next week :P

So on Monday, Cia introduced us to this months Classic Feature for the month of April. Make sure to drop by and see who and what is being featured. There is also a neat little signature image that you can put in your own signature with a link, if you so like. I do it every month

On Wednesday, Cia was back and she also brought with her the Signature Author Excerpt. See if this makes you add this story to your reading list:

Like all things in life, there always an end to what is the best :( (Unless I'm wrong :o). But turn that frown upside down and check out the last week of our 2023 Poetry Anthology. I've started on it, and will continue on :P.

As always, we like the the Anthology entries be the focus for the rest of the week.

But don't fret :o Here are the words of the day!

seismic, splotch, lad, auspice, bovine, bicuspid, culinary

LOL, see!! I knew I was wrong :P I looked at what was posted in the anthology thread and how many have been posted, I was off by one so I must have screwed up counting. Only having two hands and one foot limits me to only counting up to 15 ;) Well, 16

You forgot your nose.

I'm glad you said nose.  I thought you might suggest another appendage.

The poetry anthology can't be done . . . I know @MythOfHappinesshas something in the bullpen, and I suspect there's more too  (We should make poetry month 12 months long, what'd ya say?!)

All of the anthologies that were submitted to site staff by the deadline were published with the event to date in the 3 weeks of planned blog announcements, plus this week's Wrap Up which will review the overall event. Authors are always welcome to publish their works afterward and mention they were intended for the event if they didn't meet the deadline, word counts, etc... however.

@Cia has addressed any issues with anthology entries with the authors directly.  This year's poetry anthology is now complete, and there will be a wrap-up this Thursday, as Cia mentioned.  I had planned on two entries myself, but did not get my second one completed in time, so will be posting it later this month once I manage to actually finish it (It's my first attempt at skyscrapers).  I would agree about making poetry month 12 months long, but I have enough work to do lol  I'm thrilled to have such interest in the poetry anthology, though.

I'm exhausted, not feeling well, and heading to bed now, so any additional concerns should either be addressed to Cia or I will respond to them tomorrow when I get home from work.

My only concern is that you start feeling better soon.
