I won't give you useless platitudes. I just want you to know, though we've never met in person, you have impacted me from the first interaction. You are one of the bright lights in my life, skinny. Thank you, and while my heart is filled with selfish pain, it also carries unselfish love for you. I wish I could hug you for real... I really do.

All my love and best wishes for as much pain-free time as possible.  I hope that the time you have left is what you need to, as Gandalf said, put your affairs in order.  We miss you already, to lose you permanently is a terrible loss to the community.  I'll pray for strength, for you and your family.

That's a bombshell to the community, and I really didn't anticipate reading this when I came on tonight. It's devastating. As a realist myself, I know it's hard, but please try to stay positive. Always know that you are loved and cared about, and we're all hoping for the best. I really wish our paths could have crossed more.
