Brett Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 I will no longer doubt Dom. Here I was wondering how a happy ending could possibly happen but I'm slowly starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can't say that I ever like Joe but it is nice to see that there is a reason behind him being a dickhead. I can't wait to read the next chapter and see what happens with the boat situation.
bodgy Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Wow - goes off singing 'Life on the ocean wave, it's a sailors life for me, tra la'
Tiger Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 I loved it! Milo is being more defiant than ever. I wonder what it will take to get through to Thompson Trust. He is so mixed up in controlling everyone around him that he is pushing his own son away. However, he seems more arrogant than ever at this point. I'm glad that Nelson's mother walked in when she did. I'm not quite as quick as some to feel sorry for Joe. You don't have to believe everything that your parents believe. His homophobia has no excuse as far as I'm concerned. Then again, I don't make excuses for anyone's homophobia.

He laid his dirty hands, on Nelson, a minor, in nelsons home. The two of them alone. I wouldn't want to be Mr trust right now. *dances happily* Oh and Gone fishing? with the birdy? lmfao Pure genius Dom. Bow down, the master has returned. 2
bodgy Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 I just don't see a 17 year old allowing himself to be pushed around, especially from the description we've been given of Nelson. Or to put it another way I've seen 15 year olds, I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of, Nelson might be polite, but this obsequious state I just don't buy.
Ara Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Yay waking up to a new chapter of WT, Thankfully with this weeks release of FF13 i have been somewhat distracted and havent worn out my F5 button yet but still im all smiles. I think this calls for cake and I have Krispy Kremes in the kitchen they are close enough Thats it from me im now setting sail on the SS MNITE destination TBC

Or to put it another way I've seen 15 year olds, I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of, Nelson might be polite, but this obsequious state I just don't buy. I'm afraid I have to agree. I can understand that Nelson doesn't want to rock the boat for Milo but having got the news that he's missing I think Nelson would have been somwhat distraught and would have thrown politeness out of the window. I can see him having Mr Trust gainst the wall by the shirt front demanding to know what he had done to Milo... I would have.
NaperVic Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 So exciting!!!!!!!!! I wonder if Jame is with Milo on the boat (if Milo's even on the boat)? Seems like everything's coming to a head. All the stars seem to be aligning against Mr. Trust's current behaviour that it might be enough to get him to change his mind about Milo, his gayness, and his spending time with Nelson. With Emily, Nelson's parents, Juanita, and maybe even Jame against him, he'll have an epiphany moment. Hopefully he's starting to realize that if he continues down this path, he's going to lose Milo. So excited for Ch 22
Sage Kelly Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Once again another great chapter Dom, thank you very much, "Gone Fishing..." and the finger..classic... I really love this story...
Benji Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 (edited) Thompson Trust just made the biggest mistake of his life. He laid his dirty hands, on Nelson, a minor, in nelsons home. The two of them alone. I wouldn't want to be Mr trust right now. *dances happily* Oh and Gone fishing? with the birdy? lmfao Pure genius Dom. ........ I agree, Mr. Trust just crossed the line. Nelson's parents may use this opportunity to force Mr. Trust to re-examine his 'plan' for Milo. Personally, I'd have him charged with attempted kidnapping and assault on a minor. But he has opened the door for 'negotiations' or face charges, I'm sure Uncle Ray would be more then happy to mediate. I just wonder how Mr. Trust will take the defeat? Great chapter! I see light at the end of the tunnel. Edited May 22, 2010 by Benji
Rick Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 The words I've been waiting to hear...Excellent! Great chapter. Gotta love Dom's sense of humor..."And I don't care if you think it's gross because that's coming from the guy who had chlamydia for Christmas last year." And Thompson Trust busted by Nelson's mom. Priceless.
NaperVic Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 The words I've been waiting to hear...Excellent! Were these the words Rick? "You said you love me." I opened my eyes, stared out at the way what was left of the stars reflected off the water and laced my fingers together where they rested against his stomach. I had said that. At the time I hadn't even thought about it, just hastily wrote it on a sheet of notebook paper, shoved it into his glove compartment. I'd wanted him to know that, and that I hadn't forgotten about him. That he meant something to me, and that I could handle him ignoring me forever as long as he didn't hate me. I wanted him to know that I was still there, if he wanted me to be. I'm not sure I knew how to look five months into the future and see myself without those feelings for him because I didn't know how to look past tomorrow, and at the moment I didn't see tomorrow without feeling the same way about him as I had when I'd written that letter. "I do love you." There was a lot of speculation as to what was in the note, but maybe it was just those 3 magic words that gave Milo all the energy he needed.
lennyO Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Is it just me, or does any one else find the way old man Trust cares about Jame rather odd? Is it more than just about the friction at home? Is Jame Trusts son? Or is it all just me?
Drewbie Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Good chapter I think if mr trust was more hostile he'd, nelson would be yelling at him or more violent, or maybe nels will be telling him more off soon.

DIXSON178 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Loved the chapter.Basic Dom serious subject with a little humor to cheer you up. Can't wait for the next chapter, but really don't want the story to end

Amelia Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 loved it Loved It LOVED IT LOVED IT ... but now i am nervous. didn't dom say it might be a while for 22? Trustitis is starting to affect my world ...
Rick Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Were these the words Rick? . . . There was a lot of speculation as to what was in the note, but maybe it was just those 3 magic words that gave Milo all the energy he needed. Yes, yes, yes! And I think you're right that this was all that was probably in the letter. I mean, that just says it all, doesn't it? It's about time, eh? Gotta feel the love...
MikeL Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I'm afraid I have to agree. With Emily, Nelson's parents, Juanita, and maybe even Jame against him, he'll have an epiphany moment. That really is a question someone should ask Thompson Trust: What has he done with his son? He's not only been thoughtless and vindictive, he's doing everything wrong when it comes to Milo. He is causing irreparable harm to his own son and losing the only family he has left (with the possible exception of Jame ). ........ I agree, Mr. Trust just crossed the line. Trev's parents may use this opportunity to force Mr. Trev? Has the mention of a boat caused you to confuse two stories? Will Milo decide to undertake a circumnavigation?
Benji Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Trev? Has the mention of a boat caused you to confuse two stories? Will Milo decide to undertake a circumnavigation? ........................ Yep, Freudian slip with stories I guess!
biji2008 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I thought it was incredibly sweet what Nelson wrote in his letter to Milo. Don't you guys think so? What an unbelievably romantic story this is turning out to be. I am not usually prone to this, but I had a warm and fuzzy feeling after reading this chapter.
