  1. 1. When it comes to being in bed with your shoes on:

    • I've never done it, and probably never would

    • I've never done it, but wouldn't find it that odd

    • I've done it, but now that I think about it, it was strange.

After reading this in DD 10:

"I heard what you said to Eddie," he said quietly, and I forced myself to sit up and face him, taking note of the fact that I was still fully dressed, shoes included. Apparently, I

I must admit to waking up with my shoes on because I was too blasted to remember when I went to bed. I don't do that any more. My liver sent me a note and threatened to leave me for an Irishman.

I once had a str8 roommate who would come home all wasted an falling down. He said he was so glad I was gay because none of his str8 friends wouldn't take care of him like I did when he came home messed up like 12 lab rats.

He used to say you're not going to take advantage of me are you?

I'd say you'll know if you wake up walking funny. :lmao:

Seems like your roommate actual not only trusted you, but cared about you an lot... in that str8 sort of way :P

Anyway, I will admit I have done that on a couple of times. I don't do it anymore, but back then my room was right next to the front door and if I was warn out to the point where I couldn't really think to put my own foot in front of the other I would just go to lay down on my bed and I never got past that point.

No it takes me forever to fall asleep.

I never wear my shoes in bed, but thats only because of dirt phobia. I always have them on when I'm lying on the couch in the lounge because I feel naked out there without them on. That and I don't drink, so I'm never three sheets to the wind, enough so that I don't take off my shoes.

Yep- I used to call him Bi-Curious George.

LOL RK, that is why I'd NEVER put them on the furniture! I've got an odd system for shoes. I have a wide array of shoes to wear outdoors/out in general. Then I've got a seperate pair of "flip-flops" I only wear indoors. Then I've got my bedroom slippers which I only wear after I've showered or bathed, and am in bed for the night (like to get up and go to the bathroom or something). I pretty much never go barefoot outdoors, and almost never indoors, walking that is though. Whenever I sit or lie down I remove my shoes. But to actually walk without shoes on is rare for me.....in fact I had this horrible nightmare once....The nightmare was that I was walking around outdoors barefoot!

It's interesting the way people get all hung up with shoes/feet etc. I can say this as someone who's all hung up about shoes and feet :P . I mean I know quite a few people who can't stand shoes (almost up to a strange level), and rush to take them off and get barefoot. Then I know some other people (like myself) who are obsessive about NOT going barefoot. Then there are all the people who find feet disgusting (I know several of those!), they get totally turned off by seeing people's feet, and won't show their own. Then there are all the people with a fetish for feet (I wouldn't say I have a fetish but I think they're pretty sexy!), and then all the people with a shoe/footwear fetish (like me with boys in socks or girls in boots). It's crazy really. Quite delightful though :D

I would never get into bed with my shoes on! That's just weird. I pretty much walk around the flat barefoot, or with flipflops on, but I only put my shoes on to leave the house really. But yeah, shoes in (or even on the bed) = weird and icky, lol.

Wow, I own four types of footwear. My sneakers which I wear year-round until they literally fall apart. My flip-flops for use in the community showers on my floor (this boy ain't getting athletes foot, thank you very much!). My ice skates for playing Ice Hockey. And my snowboard boots for, well, snowboarding. My theory is that anything beyond that is highly excessive for footwear...

 Really!

Shoes are your best friend! Ive got about 20 pairs now of various types, never wear them indoors though feet need to be aired after 10 hours cramped up in there shoes :D

It happened to me a few weeks ago. I was so worn out after work that I just crashed. (Sadly, I think I was sitting on my bed in the first place so I could take my shoes off) the worst part was they were covered in dried up clumps of mud. So while writing DD, I figured that if I did it, Rory should do it too. :P

I've never had to deal with this problem. Three steps inside my front door and my shoes are no longer on my feet.

Just to feed the nightmare: aside from cuts and scrapes, another reason to wear shoes outside is to avoid getting infected by hookworms, such as Ancylostoma duodenale (pictured) or Necator americanus

These are parasites, that can burrow through the skin of bare feet, eventually ending up in the small intestine. They're actually tiny little blood suckers, and if there are enough of them they cause anemia.

So wearing shoes is good!!!!

Great after that picture, I am certain to have nightmares from it now... some 6 foot monster or something stupid like that.

Oh haven't I seen a movie with that thing in it? :lmao:

i've fallen asleep without undressing before. i know i used to overdo it with the sleep deprivation in high school. when i would get home and sit down on my bed, i'd fall asleep before even realizing i wasn't still sitting.

That about sums me up, 'cept I often wear socks indoors, and slippers in areas frequented by my landlady's cats (ick!).

My two cents...

In my youth B) , I used to slep with clothes but never with shoes. Probably result of the fact that in our house shoes are removed (sometimes forcibly ;) ) upon entering the premises...
