Popular Post kbois Posted October 13 Popular Post Posted October 13 I moved locations as my patience was stretched about as far as it could be with staying at my brother's. I'm very grateful he gave us a place to stay, but he and his wife are difficult people to spend more than a few hours with on a good day. Lol. I am now at the RV park that I work at and staying in what we call a "park model". It's basically a shorter version of a single wide mobile home. There was no power, but it was still preferable to my brother's, even though the power came back on at his house. I'd rather sweat in peace and quiet than deal with negative vibes all the time. Namaste. I was able to use the propane stove at my coworker's RV and made a huge batch of spaghetti. I added the last of the chicken I made right before the storm hit (generator kept the fridge going). I think we ended up feeding 6 or 8 people tonight. Lo and behold... the power came back on in the park! Then went out.... Then came back on!! Then went out... Now waiting for it to kick in again which it should soon. At least we know they're working on the lines. I saw the best summary of this past week: To my fellow Manatee County residents who may have lost track, today is Blursday, the fortileventh of Septober. Keep your fingers crossed that the third time is a charm and the power comes back and stays on! 1 8

I'm trying. All things considered I'm doing pretty ok. I'm rather proud of myself for staying calm through everything. Especially when forced to stay with family that brings on urges that would end up requiring a GoFundMe to cover bail money. Lol These storms can really screw with your head. Mother Nature needs an ass whooping or some Haldol. 😆 5 1
Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted October 14 Author Popular Post Posted October 14 (edited) Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians. I've been cooking things over the last couple of days to make today easier—and what is easier than a pre-stuffed butterball turkey for those who like to indulge? Enjoy your day and dinner with family and friends. If you can, consider donating to a food charity or one of your favourites. I'm grateful for my family and you lot every day. xoxo Edited October 14 by Mikiesboy 10

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted October 15 Author Popular Post Posted October 15 Good morning! It is Squirrel Awareness Month, so watch out for our cute little rodents! We saw a lovely little red squirrel the other night when we were out for a walk. They are typically not found in our cities but in more forested areas. 7

Unfortunately, they are not popular with my sister’s dogs who spend hours on guard duty waiting for a grey squirrel to attempt to get past “anti-squirrel device” on bird feeder…. All hell breaks out! As vermin, in the past you could get a reward from the police for producing the grey squirrel tails in a police station. Sadly, v hard to see a splendid red squirrel now in uk. 1 2

Popular Post Cane23 Posted October 20 Popular Post Posted October 20 I've been to hospital to visit a friend. Well, not just any friend...he was my first man, over 35 years ago... Nevertheless, he has pneumonia, some water in lungs, heavy breathing. Doctors are still doing diagnostics, giving just assumptions - it could be anything - Asthma or even tumor. Next week we'll know more, I'm hoping for the best. 1 6 1
Popular Post CassieQ Posted October 20 Popular Post Posted October 20 Trying to get back in my workout routine after a vacation last week. Luckily I was pretty active while away so it's not as bad as I thought it might be. Not saying it's easy either though! 🥵 2 6

Hey tim I’m doing good as it’s a sunny and warm day today. Plus, there were no Canada Geese having a get together on the road this morning, so that’s a plus. Last Monday, I was out, and about five (with more on the adjacent verge) thought hanging out on the road was a great way to spend their Thanksgiving. 🙄 I hope you’re doing well and having the same weather I am, because it is glorious. 😊 xoxo 1 5

However, since Dan started Noom, I have been drafted into that and am also working out. I now workout with Dan a couple of times a week. He bought weights which I lift (so does he) and I do things like push-up (should be illegal) and squats. Do I feel better? Heck, yeah. 6 4

I haven't been out yet but all the windows are open and we'll head out soon for a walk. We go out twice a day now and with pedometers too. Noom again. LOL. I am not losing weight but we all eat better. Michael's sugar is usually 4 or 5 in the mornings. We are not hungry or craving. Both Dan and Michael have lost weight. There was a flock in the park a couple of weeks ago and we saw 5 flying the other day. They can be scary though...i remember having to walk by them at work sometimes. Yikes. 1 4 1

I exercised when I was chubby and I do it now when I'm skinny. It does wonders for my mood and stress as well. 7
