Hope everyone is keeping well.

Me and the Hubby are having our first Holiday in over 2 years. Just having a week away at the seaside. Then a couple of nights in London, as we have tickets to see Wicked.

Sounds wonderful. Have a great time with hubby, Chris.

They usually seat me on an exit row for a number of reasons; because I'm tall, I'm muscular and can get the door open, and people pay attention to me.  I mean they obey me.  So, I have leg room.

He is rather formidable and hard to say no to. He is confident and self-assured and people feel comfortable following His lead in emergencies.  If He said, "Now jump out of the plane."  i'd do it.

so....
i was off on Monday, doctor's appointments etc. came back to work on Tuesday to 240 emails!
i have spent the week playing what seemed to be a losing game of catch-up. i worked an hour overtime that night, and 30 minutes last night.
today, i left the office with about 10 unread emails, and only 2 items on my "To Do" list
i'm tired, but proud of the way i persevered, and just handled it. no freak outs, no anxiety moments.
tomorrow, we are taking a drive to one of the lakes around here, with a picnic lunch and maybe the fishing gear.
i hope everyone had a good week and takes time to recharge this weekend

you should be so proud of yourself !   enjoy your picnic and relax xoxo

We got some news from work.  They are giving all of us a 3% cost of living raise.  That'll help a bit.  i'm grateful for that and they hybrid work options.

It's sad hearing so many companies saying people working from home are just lazy and taking advantage. Maybe some people do, but many more don't.

Not having the stupid travel makes such a difference and i can handle taking an aspirin and working much more than i can handle having to drag myself through heat and cold and snow while feeling crappy.

So, yeah ... i'm grateful for the extra money and for them actually hearing us.

oh i'm so happy for you!

great News tim,

we are still working from home. our company told us we were more productive so they don’t see us coming back.

Being more productive makes sense. Not having to deal with the commute, no matter what form it takes, means less stress at the start of your day. Achieving more rest, because one does have to get up as early is a big plus as well.
