kbois Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 We went to see Top Gun last night. I have to say it was one of the few times a sequel was just about as good as the original. Slightly cheesy in a few parts and also predictable, but overall it scores two thumbs up. 👍👍 Still packing and cleaning stuff out. I just reserved a Uhaul for the last weekend of the month. Now I just need to recruit some muscle to help. I hope everyone has a good week! 3

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted June 16, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted June 16, 2022 Hope everyone is doing okay. I was away sick for a bit, but i'm back. Missed a couple of days work but went back today. Our first visit to the office will happen sometime in the next month, the boss said today. Kinda freaky thinking about seeing other people after so long, but i think it will be nice. i hope everyone is hanging in there. We are supposed to get a few days of hot weather coming up, so we'll get ready for that by eating lots of salads and lighter things. I may bake a spinach pie early one morning, along with a crustless quiche. That'll be good for a few days along with salad and fruit. You all keep on hanging in. 3 5

Popular Post kbois Posted June 16, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 16, 2022 Today I'm a hot mess. I'm not sure if I fell asleep as I was walking the five feet from my bed to the bathroom this morning at 4am, or if my blood pressure bottomed out on me, but all of a sudden I found myself on the floor. Some bumps and bruises and a sore neck, but otherwise okay. I honestly think I fell asleep as I was walking, if that's even possible. Pretty sure I'll be sporting some new black and blue color variations in a couple days. Glad you're feeling better @Mikiesboy . Hope everyone has a good day! 5 2

Fae Briona Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 We have Monday off for Juneteenth for the first time this year. Not sure what we'll be doing. Greenwood, which is not too far away, is having several large celebrations this 3-day weekend but I don't' think SP will want to go to any of them. We might go visit my last surviving aunt. 5
Popular Post Wayne Gray Posted June 17, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 17, 2022 My husband walked to the door. "I'm going to Ace." (a hardware store) I look over. "Okay. Why?" "You'll see. Oh, I'm gonna need help later too." Door closes. *frowning at the door* "Whatever is happening is going to get in the way of my rum drinking, I'm pretty sure." 8 1

Q: How much rum does it take to make a pirate drunk? Spoiler A: A galleon. 6 1

Wayne Gray Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 By the way - our project is hacking apart the dead elliptical machine that has been gathering cat furballs in the corner of the living room with a hacksaw. And destroying the mice who have decided Kevin's greenhouse is a nice buffet. So tomorrow while my husband is at work, I get to hacksaw the joints of the elliptical that won't surrender to the hexwrench (some of them are stripped). That means there's rum tonight. Ahoy, matey. 1 2

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted June 18, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted June 18, 2022 Happy Saturday (Sunday for me) i've been watching some LGBT+ films recently. One i'd put off for a while, until Prime poked me in the ribs and said "This one is leaving soon!" So, i watched Milk yesterday. It wasn't easy to watch. But during Pride month, it was a good thing. i don't know a lot (enough) about our history, the fight to get to where we are now. Pride should remind us, as Remembrance Day does for our war dead, ... lest we forget those who fought, walked, wrote, marched, protested and died for Gay Rights. The film was good and spurred me to read more about Harvey Milk. I also watched, A Single Man. It was well written and acted. A Gay man suddenly left behind when his partner is killed in an accident while away from home. Told by his partner's family, the service was for family only. He cannot see a future and plans his suicide. It's a Tom Ford film, starring Colin Firth, based on the Christopher Isherwood book, A Single Man. Not yesterday, but recently, I also watched, Uncle Frank. Paul Bettany stars in this film about a man who takes a road trip back home with his niece, when his father dies. His long time partner is left home, but ends up joining the pair anyway. It's a coming-out story, a story of love, fear, understanding and acceptance. It's sort of been done before, but this was well done and both funny and sweet. i enjoyed it. Well, i hadn't planned to write film reviews today. But there you are. 4 3
kbois Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 Well what do you know? I found two decorative candles I've been missing since I "put them away somewhere safe" three Christmases ago. Go figure. Saturday is d-day. Still packing up small stuff. Unfortunately not getting much help. Hubby is doing what he can, but of course he started a new position at his work and had to do 2 extra days last week, which when you work overnights it messes with what you can get done during the day. Younger son has been almost useless. He did help me pack stuff in the car. Twice. Wow. I've been under the weather, but stopped at the pharmacy and am now armed with Sudafed, Dayquil, Nightquil, cough syrup and cough drops. I might survive the next few days. I hope. Have a good week everyone! 3

We then have to follow up over the next 14 days and try to resolve the complaint and close it before its automatically sent on to the next level. On chat it takes nearly an hour to fill out the form, write back and forth to the customer etc ... i get it but lots of people are waiting while we do this ... it's crazy. But it is not my circus ...
