Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted October 28, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted October 28, 2022 bedtime cannot come soon enough. i didnt sleep well and then we had to be up at 6am to be ready to leave by 7am. We had to go to a rapid access clinic downtown. It was freezing out and you can only lineup outside. Registration began at 7:30am .... i guess we were in by 8am, so not too bad. Finally, Michael saw a doctor who doesn't think His skin issues are eczema. He had two biopsies done and a bunch of prescriptions to help with the itching (and therefore sleep), lots of lotion, oils and creams as well. We go back in four weeks for an afternoon appointment for the result and hopefully a solid treatment plan. Hope you are all doing okay. 9

Popular Post rickproehl Posted October 28, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 28, 2022 Excuse me Good Sirs and DiC friends. it’s been a good news / bad news week had the Doctor appointment we talk he feels he is not the Best Surgeon for me. he referred me to another Doctor which specializes in the area the surgery is going to be. so i tried to get into this Doctor and she was booked till January. the doctor was not happy with this so he call and spoke with the practice and because i’m a current patient they pulled a date 11/8 for me. if things are not strange enough i also have to have the area reconstruction so will have to have plastic surgery on the area. so one will take this out and the other will fill it in. so it’s wait and see. So how are things with you 7

These issues have been going on for years so finally getting in front of the right doctor is really amazing. Thanks for the good wishes, thought, rick. xo It is good news! Skin issues can hard to pin down. It finally sounds like you're on the right path. Itching absolutely sucks. I react horribly to insect bites. Guess what we have an abundance of here in Florida? Mosquitoes are my year-round nemesis. I scratch to the point of drawing blood. Not knowing the cause of the itching must be frustrating. I'm happy Michael is getting to see the right doctor. Good luck, I'll be sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Take care and I hope everyone has a good weekend! 4
Popular Post Starrynight22 Posted October 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 29, 2022 Hello all Rick, glad they pulled a closer date for the surgery for you. I'll hope the recovery is easier and better this go round. Too bad you're too far from me or I'd recommend some great doctors Michael I hope the new doctor can make some headway on the skin issues. Sometimes a fresh set of eyes trying new things is just what needs to happen. Kbois I also react strongly to insect bites. I grew up in south Florida so I know all about how terrible the bugs are. Have you ever tried skin so soft oil after bath spray by Avon? My aunties swore by it for their legs and keeping the mosquitoes off. Hope everyone is doing well. 5 1

They are part of the University OSU and they are also a teaching hospital. The ones i have seen are very caring and take their time and actually listen. so far i’m very happy with them. just wish i had gone there first. the drive is not to bad 1 hour away the sad thing is all of the road construction and watching for other drivers. the things you see. 5

I was going to say the same thing: having a Dr. that doesn't let their ego get in the way of saying, "Doc. #2 is better" an THEN go to the hassle of getting and apt. for you 'squeezed in' two months earlier than otherwise is a great thing. 4 1

kbois Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) I'm so excited! My older son just texted me a picture of him and his wife. They eloped today. (Yes, I knew!) I'm so happy for them and thrilled as they start their new life together. Eventually they will have a celebration, but for now the elopement will suffice. I finally have a girl in the family!❤❤ Edited October 30, 2022 by kbois 4
