I'm tired but still have to wash the kitchen floor. @kbois i found the steamer in it's box ... gonna try using that on this very old tile floor. It has no finish. I think we may need to get that redone. It's a pain to try and get clean. No idea if it would work on floors, but Gram used to use Jubilee kitchen wax to clean/shine tiles on the back splash that previous owner of the house scrubbed the shine off. Be careful tho if you try it. Might make floors slippery! 4

It's too bad the poor horse is the one who has to suffer stress. The owner will be lucky to ever get the horse to load nicely in the future. People can be such idiots. @Mikiesboy Actually, the problem is that momma thinks it is ok to let the mare say no and move away. Each time she let's the animal say no it gets worse. If she would just LISTEN to me, or the barn manager where she boards, rewards good behavior like moving further into trailer, and does not allow backing away, horses learn pretty quickly getting on is a good thing. But no, she knows better, let's the horse back out, croons to her and gives treats "to calm her" then let's her graze befor trying again. <SMH> Like I told hubby, I tried. Now it's not my monkey, not my circus. I just hope the mare never needs to go to the clinic in an emergency. If it were my mare, dinner would be on the trailer every night for a month. No backing away, and if you want dinner, get in the trailer. By the end of the month she would be waiting for the tailgate to drop! 2 4 1

The horse won't ever learn to get on the trailer. Why would the horse board when it's getting treats and rewards for not boarding. Sheesh! Some people are just absent when they're passing out common sense. Edited May 21 by spyke 6 1

It is the go-to answer for many in the world. Don't forget: Keep calm and put the kettle on! It's the first thing many do if things are going right or wrong: Have a cup of tea. I'm having one right now. Enjoy! I like tea. Tea with local honey is what I'm allowed to take since cold and allergy medicines mess with my heart. I went to a bridal shower tea a month ago and had some really nice peppermint tea after eating and it was so nice. 4

Starrynight22 Posted May 22 Posted May 22 On the tea topic I have many many kinds. I like both hot and iced and black tea as well as herbal/tisane teas. I have about 16 kinds right now. My current faves are a vanilla hazelnut black tea and a strawberry orange herbal tea. 5

Fae Briona Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Front office person keeps a HUGE selection of teas (huge for me at least) and hot water, along with the coffee, for people to make. A "proper" Southern tea is very sweet and always iced. 3
Mikiesboy Posted May 22 Author Posted May 22 Sometimes, these motivational things make me laugh. I hope Zig isn't referring to our bodies, because they really don't seem to stand up to day-to-day living and they really don't last very long. Happy hot, humid Wednesday! Keep cool! 1 3

I think the rain right now has better water pressure/flow than my shower! I do believe I shall make a cup of tea and watch the storm. 8

So...put your iced tea in a pretty wine goblet and enjoy! We used to help my uncle with Christmas tree harvest on his tree farm every Thanksgiving. Usually about 15 peeps all weekend. One year ( about 25 years ago!) We arrive and the good silver is in the kitchen drawer instead of its decorative/protective box, the good crystal is in the cabinet by the fridge, all the stuff for "special occasions" was in daily use. Mom asked what was up? He said "What's the point of having all this stuff if you don't use and enjoy it?" I loved the idea! But it did get me a little bit of hassle. I'm sitting at my dining table in front of the picture window with my laptop one morning, orange juice in the crystal goblet I got at a Renaissance festival glass blower shop. The nosy neighbor walks her dog past, and I wave. An hour later I get to the school for my lunch hour supervision gig and I get called to the office. They tried to send me home as it was reported I was seen "day drinking". 3 3

We don't really have any 'good' things that are not in use. We have lots of unmatching plates and stuff. Our wine glasses are too small to bother with unless you're having wine. Due to tendon issues with my left thumb, it's quite painful to hold a glass.. mugs are better. Michael bought some nice glass mugs because drinking water/iced tea from a regular mug isn't as nice. 2 4

I don't drink much , especially at night because it affects my sleep. But it was a gift and I was curious about how it tasted. But I don't think I want anymore. 5 1
