So much for our day off! 5 4

Popular Post Starrynight22 Posted July 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 18, 2020 Hello all. Its miserable here with temp at 92F but with the sky high humidity the feel is 103. I dread my electric bill next month. But not enough to suffer so it'll stay 71 in here. I'm making pickle batch #3 today. The first were strong and too salty. Second were not quite right, a bit too sweet but very crunchy as I prefer. 7 1

Sunday dinner will be the green beans , bacon and potatoes and pot roast in crock pot. molly have you heard of peacock the NBC free and pay service which just started up this week? they have a lot of the older TV shows. 6

Weather sounds familiar -- 93F, 54% humidity, and a heat index of 105F; but it's July, and could be a lot worse. Second batch of pickles sounds pretty good to me. I like sweet and crunchy pickles. 7 1

I'm 4 days I'll report back on batch3 You might think with as much as I whine about hot weather I didn't spend almost my entire life without AC in my home. Even growing up in Florida we rarely had a place with functioning AC, then again I grew up really poor. 8

Especially box fans in the windows upstairs to blow the hot air out. But even when I was a kid, the weather wasn't like it is now. 7

Fan guard, what’s that? jk... What you see is what I had. Mine didn’t have anything remotely resembling a guard. 1 4
