Just the occasional spot of sunshine. Been busy moving things from rented house. I am eventually going to be busy sorting through crates and boxes of belongings, and deciding what to keep and what to eventually get rid of... Disgustingly muggy here. 2 4

Popular Post clochette Posted June 22, 2020 Popular Post Posted June 22, 2020 (edited) Evening gang, Busy day doing paperwork with dad then posting it all, drop some cash at the bank (mom had a secret black box, dad thought it was only a bit of cash from her last birthdays from his mom... ), then we did some shopping: fruits and veggies and new sandales for dad. Tomorrow my brother is going for a few days in Bretagne with a girl "friend" It's hooot! And it's supposed to reach over 30°c in the next couple of days. My tomatoes plants are loving it. I already have a couple of baby fruits on each plants! Edited June 22, 2020 by clochette 7

My peppers don't have any fruit yet either, but my zucchinis are doing amazing. One of them is about eight/nine inches long... I was going to pick it but I want to give it another day or two to see how big it will get. 6 1

When my mother died 16 years ago, we found some of the most interesting (and some of them real memory-jerking) things in, and under, drawers, inside boxes in various cupboards, and various other places in the few weeks it took us to slowly empty out her apartment. Amongst the strangest was seven or eight envelopes (some of them in the oddest of places) each containing exactly the amount of cash that she was receiving as her weekly old age pension at the time. And every time we turned up something new would be time for the tears to start again. But usually they were good tears; because the memories were happy ones.
